The BLM land south of Dailey Lake is now closed to camping. Camping is still available for a few at Dailey Lake Fishing Access.

Getting here was a little difficult because Google Maps tries to bring you in from the rear through a private driveway/road right off 89 that is gated off. The public access way in is from Six Mile Creek Rd off East River Rd, which brings you down to Dailey Lake Campground, then you just keep driving through to the gate after site #18. The open field immediately on the right has spots to camp.
The 6.4 miles of dirt road is pretty rough with bad washboarding, off camber turns, and a section with tons of exposed rocks jutting up from the road. Still made it through towing a 16' camper with a sedan though. There is a mile of the road that is a public road through private property so Google assumes it's closed and tries to send you down an actual private road.
After getting there the views were great and the constant breeze through the valley kept the bugs at bay. We could see tons of mosquitoes but they didn't really hamper or impact our stay.

Beautiful scenery, elk come down to the lake at night. It’s just an open field, if you want an actual campsite there’s paid ones down the road.

Once you enter the WMA, the road continues for about 2 miles. At that point there is a gate indicating private property.
The best place to boondock is at the entrance on the right. The road was not too bad, but there are some pot holes and embedded rocks in the roadway. There is some turning around area before the gate.
We watched two camping vehicles drive through a full Dailey Lake campground and camp there.
We also entered the area before Dailey Lake on the left before the cattle guard on a Jeep type trail with our Razor. This is definitely a Jeep Trail, steep and rocky.
