All sites along the lake.
During the day a few out fishing and some kit surfers.
As others mentioned VERY windy and it is constant and worse at night. Not sure how well tents would hold up here.
Clean vault toilets.

The lake is beautiful with good campsites, all lakeside, and clean and well maintained vault toilets. Beautiful view of Emigrant Peak. The Google directions are wrong as there is a locked gate for Dailey Lake Road Google says to take. The correct way is 6 mile road off of east river road. About a 6 mile drive to the lake . . . take it slow as it is washboard and several choppy parts of the road. We took our 40’ Phaeton in there SLOWLY, but no issues. OF NOTE: beautiful location, but if you don’t like wind, go somewhere else. I’m not talking breezes, but 30-40 mile WINDS. The white caps on the lake made it look like the Pacific Ocean. Had to put our slides in because we were afraid the slide toppers would rip. Windy every day, with only 2 days out of the 6 we stayed that were calm in the morning.

It is about a 25 minute drive from Chico Hot Springs!
There are variable rates depending if you are a MT resident and if you have a MT fishing license, etc.
Apple Maps is the best tool to get here. Google didn’t seem to have the right info.

We were aced out along the Upper Yellowstone on a Thursday and decided to head up Dailey Lake. The campground was half full on Thursday but filled up on Friday and Saturday.
There are 18 sites, but multiple rigs are allowed per site. Each rig had to pay the camping fee. All sites are waterfront. The pit toilets near sites 8-11 was clean and non smelly.
There are all types of watercraft using this small lake. We got the Razor out and checked out the road into Dome Mountain Wildlife area beyond the campground. (Camp here if you are aced out of a spot or want some free camping). The road ends after about 2 miles running into private land.
As if 8/15/20 the road in was pretty good. The first half was maintained pretty well. You will encounter more wash boards the further you go.
About 2 miles from the campground there is a cattle guard and a sign that may be confusing. It says in larger letters “Private Property” and in smaller letters “Along the sides of the road for 1 mile”. There is also a Dead End sign. Google maps also say it is a “toll road”, it is not.
Great cell reception and the wind as described by others.

The top rate is $16 a night for younger people who don't live in Montana with no Montana fishing license. The lowest rate is $6 a night for Montana residents with a fishing license who are retired.
I rated this four stars because there is no water here. As for garbage, If you are not a Park County resident the garbage dumps at Chico and Bob Miner have signs saying they are for residents only. I called the County Commissioners and an official reassured me that campers could put refuse in the dumpsters. Unfortunately, water is @10 Mi away.
Very busy starting Thurs. evening. Clears out Sunday afternoon. If the campground is full, there is boondocking on the far South edge of the lake. Check first with your car to see if access is up to your standards.

As the previous reviewers have stated, the wind picks up without warning and then dies (and may repeat, may not). This was a perfect place for a water loving dog, twice daily swims in the "front yard." Verizon is great here. Can be very busy on the weekends but I loved site #7 for a non-busy front yard. No shade trees so can get hot but your solar won't suffer. The road in was good, few places wash board and a narrow bridge but easily doable. During the week, very few campers so peaceful and quiet. Some sites will have grass and some with gravel, overall a great campground. No water but have vault toilets. If you get a MT fisherman's license, the cost is cheaper.

This is a hidden gem that is about 8 miles down a dirt and in some areas rutted road. But it is worth the drive. We had a regular steady wind from the north blowing across the lake while we were there. Sometimes with quick gusts. There are sites all around the lake, and it seems to be a popular fishing hole for locals during the day. The one thing we found odd about the spot is the limited 7 day max stay.
A trail head for Emigrant is close by and there is some fun 4x4 trails in the area. Just to the south of Emigrant is an Elk preserve and you might spot some if you are lucky.
We had excellent Verizon with our booster and omni antenna peaking at 22 down, 14 up was the best result we saw.

Great setting right on the lake with 11,900 foot Emigrant Peak behind you and views down to Dome Mountain to the south. The area is known for it's winds so be prepared for that. During our stay we had wind that seemed to just come and go. Can be blowing hard enough to make the lake look like the ocean one minute and then stop and the lake goes to glass.
The drive in is 8 miles of gravel road, when we came in it was pretty washboarded but it was graded during our stay. A trail head for Emigrant is close by along with a nice walk up into the WMA to the east.
Super fast Verizon with an antenna / amp. 21 down, 11 up was the best result we saw. There is no AT&T service.
