Dirt road to the tower was in good shape. No problem for a 24ft Sprinter RV and plenty of room to turn around. With some wind the tower and cable stays do sing a bit. Great for a quick boondock on the way east or west.

the dirt road access up to the tower is steep and really bumpy. You would need a vehicle with a bit higher clearance to safely reach this area. I didn't dare to drive up with my minivan.

Nice alternative to the other sites in the area, which were taken. Quiet. Easy access. Nice trail to Environmental Research area. Nice views. Good cell coverage. The guy wires supporting the tower could prove a height problem for tall rigs.

By 5:30am, more vehicles went by, and by 7:30am, so did a few cement trucks. There obviously is a project going on further down the road. We would stay here again.

While the building and tower are pretty ugly, the views in the other three directions are spectacular. It's just the little loop road around the tower, so it's not very exciting, but it does have both AT&T and Verizon at useable speeds. There is a "no fire" sign here. There is a "no fire" sign here.
I was very surprised by the amount of traffic we had both late into the night and at 5:30 in the morning.

The site is a few miles off of I-40, and was perfect to stop for the night. We stopped early and enjoyed exploring the area. The sunset was beautiful. We intend to come back to this site and spend a few days.
There was some trash and broken bottles right near the site that we cleaned up when we arrived.
WiFi wasn’t great, but it was sufficient for me to work while there.

We were in a pinch and needed a place to stay for the night. The view is beautiful the wind was up but nice to listen to. The road was smooth coming in.

This is a scenic spot in the Mojave with room for one or two rig in the loop around the tower. The wind was up a bit and causing some lilting flute-like music which I found really cool. (is that why it is named Dharma Tower?). Good LTE service and dirt road in was short with only a couple ruts.

Easy access, quiet, great views, and free. The only down side is that the antenna will play havoc with the solar panel, but for an overnight, it was wonderful.

We arrived at Mojave too late in the day to get a good dispersed site, so had to settle for parking next to this big metal carbuncle and its corrugated-steel shack. Unless you're equally desperate, keep moving - you can do way better in this Preserve.
