There are tons of spots, there are more spots for smaller vans or maybe Class B’s or even small pull behind that I wasn’t going to take my fifth wheel too. But no matter what size rig you have, you’ll fit. The road up is just a little steep in parts, but the first part is paved and then a nice, smooth gravel road after that. I will definitely come back. So quiet and relaxing.

$10 dump station 1/4 mile out FS 806 with non-potable water
Laundromat in Kip's Grill (come in thru the alley service entrance, go through the kitchen and behind the bar) 4 washers 6 dryers. Eat and drink while you’re waiting. Also car wash at Kip’s.
Drive the Bachelor’s Loop to see old mines and visit the Fire Station and Mining Museum (both are underground) Great visit in Creede!

There are 12 other rigs here right now, and nobody is close to each other.
There are even two 43 foot fifth wheels towing side-by-side’s and they had no problem .
We knew freshwater would be an issue so we filled up at our last spot. At the Creede Chuteout, there is a drive up dumpsite. $10. But they did not have potable water.

This a nice, though, busy place. Lots of coming and going of vehicles (campers and off road vehicles) so seems easy enough to find a spot. I walked into town one day - 2 miles downhill.

Easy access into most all the sites, but the ones up at the "top" would only be for smaller rigs. You will see some of those in the video we uploaded here to the page and will be linked at the end. I few things to keep in mind. #1 the free dump and water station in Creede is closed until further notice, #2 You can get water at the only gas station in town but it is now 50 cents per gallon (that's a price hike). The closest free dump station is in South Fork at the Rainbow Express Gas Station (About 25 miles south).
We were here in July 2023 and the flys and ants can be pretty bad. The wind kicks up just about every afternoon so be prepared for that. The place is a busy OHV area as well, while everyone was courteous it can be loud at times.
If you want to see more about this site we did a video review. https://youtu.be/ejj041vmK3U

Water: Water is available at the only gas station in town but it is a tight spot, so I would not recommend bringing your rig unless you are in a van or small setup, I brought 5 gallon jugs. The water costs $0.20 per gallon and trash also costs $5 per bag to dispose of. I heard in I-overlander that water is available at the skate park, but I didn't go there. The dump station nearby has been closed by the city and is no longer available. You can dump at the Rainbow Grocery store in South Fork which is about 20-25 min away from Creede.
Groceries: I was pleasantly surprised with the Kentucky Belle Market in Creede. They had a decent amount of options and way more to choose from than the Rainbow Grocery in South Fork.
Laundry: There is limited options for laundry here. You can go to the restaurant KIPS in town and use their washer and dryer behind the bar, but if you have alot of clothes to wash I wouldn't recommend that, also it's kind of weird to do laundry in a restaurant, but at least you can have a beer while you wait. I had to was a decent amount of clothes so I drove to South Fork and used the Laundromat there.
Internet: T mobile home is super fast and we didn't even have to put out our starlink. Starlink would work great here as there is open sky all around.

Beautiful spot overlooking Creede. Not very difficult to get to. A little windy in the early evenings, but we’ll worth it! Check out the Creede Merchantile, great fudge and friendly staff.

We actually went to the second left and found a great spot however about 50 yards away looked like someone had a party, there was still about 30 beers in w cooler and trash everywhere! Sad to see!

There are plenty of easily accessible sites right off the main dirt road for larger rigs and if you have a smaller rig, you can drive up the hill to find even more beautiful areas to camp. We were there over Labor Day weekend and aside from a few ATVs, it was quiet. It's a 5 minute drive into town (there's plenty of great shopping and dining in downtown Creede) and there's even a dump station and fresh water fill right in town as well. We love this spot!
