Craggy Wash is close to shopping. Gravel access, in between mountains. Must drive a mile back to camping area. Advisable to get there before dark otherwise difficult to identify camping areas. Walmart close by does not allow overnight parking. Great alternative.

Best boondocking spot north of Lake Havasu City! A nice quiet area, a bit busy but everyone was friendly or kept to themselves. Our kids loved climbing all the hills that surround the first large area. There are berms that make it hard to find a way into the camping spots but there are a few spots bigger rigs can make it over.

03/01/2020. We came in with our 36 foot class C motorhome and most of the camp sites had a big birm to get over. We saw lots of trailers and 4X4 vehicles. We found a spot and it was ok but we only had 2 bars of service on our cell phones and a lot of traffic up and down the road. We didn’t stay long.

Most parking locations ar along the two track road that meanders back through the wash. There are some group locations around the first available areas after going back in approximately a mile. From there most spots have plenty of room between sites for ample privacy especially if facing into the sidehills. Watched a herd of big horn sheep scaling across the ridges and watched them come down near the road for an hour as we were pulling out our last day. Turning around with larger rigs can be a challenge the father in you go. I would stay here again.

Easy to find off of highway 95, just north of Lake Havasu City. Need to travel about a mile in along a dirt road in fair condition. There's a very large camping area for any size RV, then as the road continues it does get tighter. If you're in a smaller camper, further down will provide you with more secluded sites. We stayed in the initial larger area since we have a 35' 5th wheel. It was pretty quiet when we arrived on 12/24, but it did get a bit busier after the holidays. The noise level certainly depends on your neighbors, though. Toward the end of our stay we had a neighbor who played their music loud, but always stopped before 9pm. There's quite a bit of side by side traffic down the road, which does kick up some dust, but they typically drove by slowly. We were able to dump our poop caddy and get fresh potable water for $15 at Lake Havasu State Park during our 14 day stay. Worth it!

We love the location! So much space between rvs and quiet too. Much better than being right next to each other in an rv Park. Walmart is 5 min away, as well as the mall. Our post had a well built rock fire pit already. We had some nights where people ran their generator all night but didn’t bother us much.
The site host brought us a 14 day permit but it’s all free. Only downside we found was that it’s hard to find dump stations and potable water. We emptied our black and grey into a tote and have a water bladder for new fresh; this means we don’t need to move our rv. The state park would not let us empty because we had a tote in our pick up truck and no rv. Their normal price is $15 but they denied us. We went to lake havasu rv &
Boat storage and the facilities were fabulous and service was friendly but the cost is now $25 per dump and potable fill.

We have camped in Craggy Wash for about 7 seasons now & have always enjoyed our visit. However, on Christmas day 2016 as we were attempting to enter Craggy Wash, we encountered a new, white haired old woman camp host with an overzealous attitude who refused our admission because she thought that she had seen us camped at another nearby BLM campground recently. She also wrongly accused us of not picking up after our dogs. All these years we have always made a point to pick up after our dogs!
Therefore, I believe there needs to be a rating for camp host attitude which would perhaps eliminate people with this gestapo type attitude from having any authority over OUR PUBLIC LANDS.
It appears there are postings on this website by the camp host to be the same person & attitude that we encountered and if so, I sincerely hope for the sake of future campers enjoyment, she reads & fully understands the BLM rules and regulations & not just her personal misguided interpretation and chooses NOT to return next winter
To this camp host I say "hope you had a Merry Christmas" as you surely dampened ours!
