I saw every kind of RV, tent and tent trailer you could imagine; some are spending the winter and are staying there because it's free. They have three camp host spread out along the 6 miles of road access. They issue the 14 day permit. They are there to ensure that people don't abuse the area and ensure people are respectful of other campers. The further back you go the fewer people you will encounter

Further in it got better but sites still full of trash... sadly BLM May take this away if it continues. Larger sites past the one mile mark, but turning around for a big rig is difficult. Scout a site first before venturing in. Quiet at night, shopping nearby, resort town so prices not great. Great for ORVing. Would not stay again,

The access road is bumpy but passable, I've definitely driven much worse. The sites are primitive but spaced well but the most accessible ones are close to the main road which leads to traffic noise and dust, especially when people don't have any regard for others and race down the road. Lots of hiking and the views are great too.
I found that propane at Tractor Supply was the cheapest in town, check before you go. There's also a paid water bottle station at the Food City

Busy location even several miles in. Yes it’s a dirt road but no bumpier than any other. Big rigs went in no problem. Some spots hard to level.
Near the road is dusty with a lot of traffic.

Really nice place to camp. Easy in and out. Very crowded right now but still had good room for each camp. Camp host was a few miles in. Was kinda surprised at that. We didn’t even know they were ther until we went exploring. Never checked in with them so not sure if their purpose. We did see the Ranger on several occasions. There are miles of camping area. There is a big variety of rigs and tents. Everyone seemed to get along and overall very quiet, just occasional dogs barking and generators. ORV activity minimal but there were a few.
Our phone and internet service was excellent.
Walmart just down the highway.
It’s a mile in on a dirt road. No highway noise which was great. It by a small airport so hear occasional planes.

We had a great time boondocking in Craggy Wash. Highly recommend it, but to get the benefits of this area travel in a bit further than the first few campsite areas. We got a spot around the 3.5 mile marker. It seems that anything past 3 miles is nice. After 4 mile marker the road is a bit more challenging.

Overall pleased with our stay at Craggy Wash and how convenient it is to local stores and the town of Lake Havasu. We picked up water at the water stations around town for .20 cents a gallon and dumped at the state park . Highly recommend stopping here theres plenty of free camping around this area.

Love this place. The beginning can be a bit crowded as most people probably don’t want to drive further up the trail, but if you do, you can find some wonderful secluded spots. ATT cellular wasn’t very good down below, but as you climb up the trail it gets much better in spots.

We have camped in Craggy Wash for about 7 seasons now & have always enjoyed our visit. However, on Christmas day 2016 as we were attempting to enter Craggy Wash, we encountered a new, white haired old woman camp host with an overzealous attitude who refused our admission because she thought that she had seen us camped at another nearby BLM campground recently. She also wrongly accused us of not picking up after our dogs. All these years we have always made a point to pick up after our dogs!
Therefore, I believe there needs to be a rating for camp host attitude which would perhaps eliminate people with this gestapo type attitude from having any authority over OUR PUBLIC LANDS.
It appears there are postings on this website by the camp host to be the same person & attitude that we encountered and if so, I sincerely hope for the sake of future campers enjoyment, she reads & fully understands the BLM rules and regulations & not just her personal misguided interpretation and chooses NOT to return next winter
To this camp host I say "hope you had a Merry Christmas" as you surely dampened ours!
