Is there Verizon 4G here? Seems to be contradictory reviews, and I need signal for work/school. Thanks!

Great morning sun for solar, afternoon shade to keep you cool and great view of the sky for Starlink! There is no cel phone coverage here. Short 10 minute walk to the nearby country store, short walk to the dam and a nice trail along the Gunnison River and it is a very short drive to Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP and into Montrose. The hosts were wonderful, as previously reported the dump station is closed. However there are other options nearby. Personally I would not recommend the city facility in Gunnison. Just seemed kind of chaotic and is a bit out of the way. We did dump there, but got water at Elk Creek CG and then dumped there on the way back home. I highly recommend this over the location in Gunnison.

Great place, small quiet and empty. Near the dam and a great hiking trail. Make sure to stop by Newberry's nextdoor if you forget anything. He has a little of everything. There is no electric or cell service here, but we didn't seem to care. The bathrooms here are really clean too. Definitely, worth the stop.

No hook ups, water available but not directly at campsites and clean restrooms. Hosts were very nice and told us to check out the damn area. Was amazing -views of the river and trails. We decided to stay an extra night. No cell or internet. Recommend you visit Newberry's gas station. Definitely will stay again.

If I remember correctly, there is only one spot that has all-day shade over the pull in area, there are plenty of trees around other spots though. Overall, a good spot. We arrived late in the week mid-July, we were the only ones there. the next day a few other people arrived.

Hopefully the camp hosts will still be the ones I had when I was here. Fabulous people from Tyler, TX. The pads are pretty close to level throughout the CG. And portable water faucets are located about every 3 sites. There is a little country store/Gas Station within 1/2 mile walking distance of the campground. A post office as well.

Spent the weekend here to try out our new camper. Overall experience was good. There is clean restrooms centrally located. There is at least two water spigots to get potable water. There is no electric or water hook us at the sites. I liked that there was bear proof containers for storing coolers, etc. There is also bear proof trash and recycling receptacles. There was also a dump station that we used after the weekend was over.
Negatives would be the traffic noise and lack of showers in the restrooms. The campground is off the road, but there is still some traffic noise especially engine brakes when trucks are coming off the hills to the East and West.
The sites were all fairy small. It would be difficult to get anything larger that 30' overall length in most of the spaces. Most of the spaces are single wide, so a 30' camptrailer will just fit, but there won't be room to park your truck. There was a couple of spaces that were double wide so you could put your trailer and truck side by side. Someone traveling in a van or small motorhome shouldn't have a problem.
