Does anyone know if Black Canyon BLM is accessible with a 4x4 SUV in the winter? Thanks!

You need 4WD or other traction assistance if coming in winter or mud season. The roads are also steadily being eroded in the middle; accident waiting to happen. My visit in May ‘21 was easier as roads were dry and campground was beautiful for tents/hammocking.
Also, speaking with an employee at the National Park, there are talks of closing this campground soon. Sad but understandable in its condition.

Again, would be 4WD only

This is a free dispersed campground that is poorly maintained regarding road condition and tree overhang throughout roadway to some campsites. We have a 23' travel trailer that we had to park in the large main entrance area as either the roads were too impassable with a travel trailer or the tree branches were too close to the roadway to some of the campsites. This would be an ideal spot for camper vans or tent campers, but for anything larger unfortunately. The road condition and the poor cellular service is the only reason we would not consider staying here again. We have 1 bar with Verizon and even that is very poor for internet or phone calls.

We witnessed a dozen RV's and even ORV's suffering damage due to careless driving. Not much flat ground, but we lucked out with a great site surrounded by juniper and pine. No facilities at all. ATT mobile service was not very good.

This is the closest spot to the park you can stay, less then 5 minutes. Only has a few flat areas right off the road to park a RV. Lots of spots for smaller vehicles, specially if you have 4x4, the roads wiggle through there for miles. Pretty sketchy taking a RV past the main turn in area which fills in pretty close together at night. ... more

I parked very close to the entrance due to no 4x4 / low clearance. Great view of the mountains and 30+mbps on ATT made for a perfect place to work.

My site is totally secluded, which I love, a short distance to the road, which I don't mind since traffic is not too busy during the week. But I get to be surrounded by trees that provide lots of shade during the hottest days of this crazy heat wave the whole country is experiencing. And I can still charge my solar.
Couldn't be happier! Oh well, yes, when deer walk next to my site ignoring my presence... communing with Nature feels good.
