Not far off I 470. Watch for the entrance road it was a little hard to see. Located in a hilly area so some sites could be a little hard to get level on. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bathroom was clean.

The bathrooms were central and very clean. I was surprised to see a laundry room and it used the Payrange app so no coins needed.
The men that work there are very nice. The park was not very busy so it was nice to walk around. Met some very nice people. The location is just off I-470 but never heard any traffic noise. Will definitely return if in the area.

The facilities are showing their age. The shower is tiny and requires you to push a button every 9 seconds to turn the water on. Borderline unbearable hot after a few pushes. I had to go outside to have enough space to put on my shoes. There is standing water all over the shower area.
The bathroom nearest my site also had a push button to flush, and it didn’t work. Nasty.
The people running this place are incredibly friendly and accommodating...this review in no way reflects on them!!
Over rated IMO. We won’t be back. It’s too bad...great location.
T-Mobile 5g. Only had 2 bars, but still high speed.

As full time RVers, we needed to be close to a big city to do a few things such as visit REI, Ikea, Camping World, refill some prescriptions and pick up some packages from an Amazon locker. We passed through Kansas City and stayed for two days and were able to cross off all the things on our to-do list staying at this campground. We were 20 minutes from downtown KC and although the park is right in the middle of the suburbs and city, it felt pretty secluded. We were seconds away from everything you could possibly want, but our site backed up to the woods and the crickets were so loud, you definitely did not feel like you were that close to the city.
AMENITIES: Sites were water and electric only, but there was a dump station. (Dump station was $15 if you were not camping there and just needed to dump or fill). There were bathhouses, although I did not go in them so I cannot report on their condition. There was also laundry facilities. The dryer was unfortunately broken, but the washers worked great. A bonus was that you didn't need change for them - they were Bluetooth and you could pay by downloading an app and paying through your phone. Which was convenient since we realized after we already loaded the washer that we were out of quarters. And another plus was the app alerted you when the washing/drying cycle was over! So no more guessing if it's time to switch over.
CELL SERVICE/INTERNET We did not work over the weekend so I'm unsure of the download speeds, but because of the proximity to the city, I'm sure it was great. We did have 3 bars of LTE on our Verizon phone and we were able to stream tv no problem using a T-Mobile Peplink router and booster.
PROS: Close to the city. Check-in was easy. It was big rig friendly. Saw plenty of class As and big 5th wheels. Wide pads that accommodated out 36 ft. 5th wheel with ease.
CONS: As long as you don't go in with expectations of having a secluded weekend full of nature, there really were no cons. Sites were somewhat close together and folks were out having fun camping and having fires. but that's to be expected.
THINGS TO DO: Well, there's all the big things the city has to offer but we didn't do anything touristy. However, we did indulge in some Kansas City BBQ and will highly recommend Jack's Stacks BBQ about 10 minutes away. We were going to pop into this place when out running errands and tried to get a table and there was a TWO hour wait. So I knew it had to be good. We made reservations and came back the next night and it was totally worth it. It was a bit on the fancier side for BBQ but they new how to make some ribs and burnt ends. Oh and the carrot cake. Damn. Would definitely recommend it, but make reservations ahead of time!

You couldn't swing a dead cat (not that you'd want to) without hitting a lifted truck or a HUGE 5th wheel at this place. We were there on a Friday night. It was PACKED. I am guessing there are 100 sites there and I counted two tent campers, including our friendly neighbors. Standing room only. It was also very windy and most folks did not know to put everything away at night; trash was blowing everywhere when we got up. So, it felt kinda like a weekend warrior location while we were there.
The campground itself is very nicely maintained and the camp host was good with directions. We had a smallish site, but there were some super nice sites there that face the woods. Site 62 is kind of a shared site. Not much privacy. But the site was pretty clean, save for a few cigarette butts. We had 30A but no water, which is fine with us. There is a dump and potable water in site. Easy to access.
We also stopped at a local bike shop before getting to the site. They gave us maps of the mountain bike trails around the lake. We did not have time to ride them, but I hope we can get back there and check it out, hopefully on a weeknight...

Needed a place for the night on a XC trip. Koa up the road not answering phones. But we called here and they had several sites available on a drive up basis. Pulled in right at closing...9pm. Huge spot, quiet and had everything we needed. Cheap, too.

Very pretty campground with rolling hills of grass. Sites vary from full hook-up (FHU) on concrete pads (these sites are pretty close together) to more spread out gravel sites that have either FHUs or just electric.
We arrived during the last weekend in October (the campground does close for the season on October 31st) and most sites were booked. We rolled in and the host gave us some 30A (only) gravel site options which were more than big enough to fit our 40' rig, but weren't super level. We were able to get ourselves leveled. Our site was nicely separated from others.
Showers were weird - some had timers and others were free flowing. Some had poor nozzle flow and others were fine. Water was hot, but restrooms were unheated. Dryer in laundry room was out of commission during our stay.
There is a double lane, two dump station area that you exit the park from. There is a volleyball net and some pear trees in the campground. Trash receptacles are available. OTA TV provided a swath of channels. Verizon coverage and usability was solid.
Park was very quiet at night. Deer were prevalent and visited in the mornings. There were nice (on road) running loops around the lakes. A quick drive to local box stores. About 25-30minute drive to downtown KC.

Great place. Good price. Level site. Gravel. Full book ups. Right next to a playground for our kids. Nice grass. Nice staff. Nothing negative to say. About 30 minute drive to anything we wanted to do in KC.

Quiet campground back in the trees. Narrowish road around park. Staff friendly. Showers were ok but water not hot. Only lukewarm. A small laundry on site. Was always being used so we went offsite to a laundromat. Close to Lees Summit and Independence. Site was pretty level.
