The trash bins are many and are emptied regularly. On the way out is a dump station. As we left mid-week there was no line, but if you leave on Sunday, expect a long wait. WIFI is iffy. Signal strength was great, but bandwidth was poor. Only good to read email.

This was a great place - especially for an overnight. Easy to navigate through the park - all concrete. This site was level. No wifi, but AT&T cell service worked fine. Water and Electricity with dump station on site. Trashcans conveniently around the park.

Our site was right on the playground, which was a huge plus with the kids and made using the showers easy (since there is no sewer hookups). The wifi was only usable in the middle of the night, but I guess that's to be expected. We mainly came for the close proximity to New Orleans. The park seems like it has more to offer in the summer months, with a pool for campers, but we did enjoy the short hiking paths and just riding our bikes around the park.

From the past reviews I here it's not easy to know if the campsite is bad or good... The sites are DEFINITELY NOT level, we needed to raise the driver side by 6" (or half ft), looking around it's easy to see the crooked pads in most sites...
Yes, they are very spacious compared with most private RV parks and easy to maneuver in even for our 36ft rig... There are no trees or shrubs separating the sites and this may cause an impression of being smaller and no privacy...
Some sites have low branches hanging that would need to be trimmed before parking anything higher than 9ft. Some trees on the side of the road also may create unnecessary difficulty to park larger rigs.
On our site the 50 amp outlet did not work, the 30 amp worked fine and was enough for us, as it was almost winter (Dec) we didn't need the air conditioner. Our pedestal was infested by roaches and mice, probably the reason why the 50 amp didn't work.
Can't rate or say anything about the laundry and bathrooms as we didn't use it...
If you are arriving after 9 pm you need to use a different entrance on Segnet Blvd and Louisiana Ave

There are trails and playgrounds as well as paved spots and adequate bathrooms. You can have fires and can collect on site, but because of the climate the fires stay smoky and start slow. If you like nice campfires, bring your own dry wood in. They don't sell it at the campground and it was hard to find nearby. We liked that it was close to hikes at the National Preserve just southeast. Also close to swamp tours and a short drive into the city. We would stay here again.

Beautiful park with lots of grass for the kids to run around. Kids loved the playground but it needs some TLC and updating . Nice quiet spot to explore New Orleans. We didn’t have reservations and drove up, had no problems getting a spot.

Bayou Segnette is a fantastic place to set up for exploring New Orleans. It's quiet, green, well maintained, and, most importantly, peaceful, which is a such a nice feature to come back to after a long day in the city. It's easy to get downtown, either by car or by taking the ferry, and there are plenty of things to do within the park itself. Everything you need will be close by, the utilities (water/electric sites with a dump station at the entrance) worked well, and our fellow campers were all respectful of quiet hours. This was a great find and we would definitely stay here again!

Overall, the SP was nice. The sites were level and spaced out well. Laundry rooms and bath houses could use a little maintenance. The biggest appeal for us was the proximity of New Orleans. I did appreciate the diligent security, saw them patrolling often. The day use area was great!
