The morning I was to leave my truck wouldn’t start. Chad and Steven were a great help getting my truck running so I could take it to get the battery replaced before leaving.

We stayed in this park for three nights . This is a very well kept park. We enjoyed the quietness and how peaceful it felt. The owners and staff were so kind and helpful. We even had someone to walk our little dog while we were in town. Awesome park.

Yes the park is small and they pack a lot of RV’s, but this is meant as a place for visiting New Orleans itself.
My kids jumped right into pool and my dog finally enjoyed a grass filled K9.
Oh, did i say the staff here is outstanding? Well yes they are.

If you’re worried about backing in, don’t worry, they are experts at coaching you through it if needed. We were here over New Years, if you have a dog and/or don’t want to be kept up all night with fireworks, don’t come to New Orleans/Louisiana over the holiday. They shoot off really big fireworks, for hours.

This has been the smallest KOA I’ve been to. Very tight. Not in a super great area. I don’t know what else would be better for visiting New Orleans but I would’ve looked around more. This was okay for just staying a couple nights

Although the area around this park is kind of run down, we were happy staying here. The rates are reasonable, the staff is very helpful, they take good care of the grounds, it's well lit, and they have good security. The laundry room is really nice. You will find some older and unsightly rigs here; the roads are torn up in places and get huge puddles when it rains. However, they got the pumps right out and drained most of the water quickly. Some of the pads have shade trees and are well paved. Some (like ours) do not have shade, and the pad is cracked an uneven. The Mississippi River is right across the street although you have to drive a bit to find a place where you can climb the levee. There are no sidewalks - and I don't recommend walking outside the park. However, most of New Orleans area attractions are a 20-30 minute drive away. That's worth the price!

Careful! We had to make a couple of u-turns to find the entrance. No surprises for a KOA. Back in, FHU, level. Not much space. Nice neighbor and helpful staff. Close to New Orleans airport and interstate to NO, Trolly to downtowns still is not running.

We choose a KOA as we go to McDonald's: we expect a standard. Cement and level grounds are appreciated, but it's a tight, the entrance is not easy to find and the dog park is non-existent. We hear what seems to be gunshots all night long. But the staff are helpful and a long cycle path nearby is appreciated.

We don't normally stay at KOAs but after the state park booted everyone out, we were desperate for a place to finish out our NOLA visit.
This place is pretty run down, with tiny spaces and the spots are all very crammed together. Trains can be heard all day and sometimes during the night. Typically I would have only left this place a 2 star review but due to our situation, the staff gets them an extra two stars.
The local state park evacuated all of their campground guests and we had to scramble to find a place to stay at 4:00 in the afternoon. When I called the park, the woman who answered the phone was very friendly and helped us reserve a spot for us and ensured that she held a spot for another couple we were traveling with. When we arrived at the park, the check in staff were organized, friendly, and very helpful. They made a very stressful situation, much less stressful.
We won't likely return to this park due to the expensive prices and limited facilities but the staff definitely deserve some kudos!
