We’d honestly have stayed for weeks if we didn’t have to get on the road again for work. Our site #49 was off the water, but we had great views of the lake all the way around. Cell service was great. The lake is beautiful, and the campground well maintained. Staff was helpful, too. Will definitely be back!

Bald Ridge Creek Campground is a COE property now being locally managed by Forsyth County Parks and Recreation. They have put much effort into improving the camping experience. There is a new coded gate system, the bathhouses are cleaned twice daily, sites inspected and cleaned between occupants, and the landscape is maintained weekly. We were in site 64 which is maybe 20' off a quiet cove. There are three bathhouses, a boat launch, swim area, playground and convenient dump station. They have a number of big rig suitable sites.

To make reservations now you will need to go through Forsyth County Parks & Recreation. It took me a while to figure this out so I thought this might be helpful ! Apparently, many of the COE parks will be going this way. I hope Campendium and others are able to keep up to help us all.

The campground is great but of course water and electric only. Clean and quiet during the non summer months. Large enough sites for any camper and very dog friendly. One important note is to make sure your guests are gone by 10:30 or they will be locked in……gate closes.

Bald Ridge campground is another COE winner. Sites right on the lake, easy access, good facilities, concrete pad, what's not to like. Signs leading you to the park. Check-in at drive thru kiosk. Sites are fairly well spaced, many on the water. Concrete pads make leveling easy. There are many oak trees in the park, so if you don't like squirrels or acorns hitting your roof in the fall avoid this. We had a friendly squirrel sit for hours above our rig dropping acorn pieces on us, but not at night. One washer and dryer in each bathroom.
Unfortunately, the park closes on October 17th; makes no sense, this place is perfect in the fall.
About 20 HDTV channels and adequate AT&T service, 2-3 bars un-boosted, 5 bars with WeBoost. Un-boosted RSRP -115 dB, RSRQ -15 dB; boosted to -90 and -13.

The only downside is one of the four camp hosts. There are two couples, and three of the people are lovely. The fourth should be relegated to cleaning duties only where she doesn't have to talk to people, who she clearly dislikes in general. Some camp hosts try hard to make your stay as wonderful as possible. Some look for every way they can to make you miserable. She falls into the latter category.

The staff is friendly & that’s always the 1st thing I rate my experience on! 1st impressions are everything! The spot is nice, nothing spectacular, just average. I do wish there was a play ground. Bathroom was a little far off & not the cleanest. My main issue was no cell coverage though. And we couldn’t park our truck in front of the RV because even though the booking listed it was good for our length, it didn’t mention it wasn’t actually long enough for the truck too. All the other site seem to be.
One more thing I don’t like about these sites is the fact that they lock the gates from 10:30pm-7:00am so if you have to go someplace early or you work late at night, curfew is in affect. I had to go pick up my daughter at 6am one time & I had to drive around & run over a bush to get out! This seems dangerous to even lock people in like this but it happens at most of these parks on Lake Lanier. Not to mention if you work late, you may end up sleeping in your truck if not back in time.

Yes, there is a story!
The Lake is very busy and can be noisy. Boater's like to raft up in the cove and they tend to be very loud. We were able to put our Kayaks in close to our site and spent several hours paddling. Lots of shade and walking area around the lake. All and all a great stop for a few days.

We had site 71 and there was a nice little area for our dogs to play around in the water without having to walk anywhere. There was plenty of tree cover and shade on this site, as well as some grass for outdoor games.
