We arrived a bit early yet the nice lady at the gate made us drive away off the property for an hour only to come back and check in.
The park was almost completely empty so that seemed a bit rude when we arrived tired and just wanted to get settled in.
Nice and clean with nice lake views.

Our rate is with the Senior Pass. Site 2 was level and open view of the lake. If someone is in #1 you won't have the view. Water and electric at site. There were only a few people at the campground in February but there appears to be 6+ camp host sites full. Only saw one person working? Bathrooms were clean but older.

We used our National Parks Senior Lifetime pass to save $14/night with electric and water. The sites were decent, but very open between them. It was cold and rainy at night...this was March. We also saw MANY people fishing and they were catching quite a lot of good sized fish!!

We just stayed one night while awaiting the opening of the renaissance festival nearby. The park was at 100% capacity but this wasn't a problem as everyone was well behaved. We had a nice view of the lake. There was water and electric at each site but there was only two dump sites on the enter and exit roads. Overall it was enjoyable.

Actually paid $14 due to senior discount. Mainly rvs with boats. Flat spot, but bring something for ants, though not bad. T-Mobile at 34Mbps. Old trees, large lake, boat ramp being repaired. We saw about 6 boats only during stay. 1 seedo. Nice quiet stay.

We weren't crazy about this park. While it is on a nice lake, the sites are way too close together, and the rules are not inforced at all. Rules regarding keeping dogs on leashes, number of vehicles per site, number of people per site, and quiet hours are not enforced. We never saw a park ranger or host even do a drive-through. Some people may like this scenario, but we don't. Utilities work well, and sites are gravel/dirt.

This is a nice COE park on Lake Somerville just north of Brenham, Tx. We were there for 2 weeks during spring break and it was still a great place to stay. The park has been hit with 2 major flooding events in the last 4 years so they are still working on issues. Both boat ramps are closed along with half the park, not sure if it is flood related or seasonal. There is a boat ramp on the other side of the lake and saw a few boats tied up along our shoreline.
Though the restrooms are kept clean, we were disappointed to see that even on the very chilly days, the heaters we're not on and the plastic is torn off all the screens, so it made for some chilly wind hitting you along with the hot water.
There is a nice deer population and they were fun to watch.
We will stay here again if we are in the area. We have a senior pass which gets us 50% discount on our camping cost.

We enjoyed the nature trail and the constant presence of deer in the fields around the campground. This is a great spot if you have a boat and can get out on the lake.
