There was plenty of space to spread out and set up a tent. You could hear the road noise a little but it was not too bad. Pretty good cell coverage the whole time. There were two pit style toilets with walls and a roof and were in pretty good shape. I would definitely camp here again.

Have done tent camping at Yaqui Well on multiple spring wildflower trips over the years. This campground had the only vault toilet I've ever not minded, because it had walls but no roof - fresh air! Biggest drawback: the road in was often very loose sand. We stuck to the middle of road as miring was a risk even in the compact vehicle we drove. Quail, Costa's hummingbirds, white wing doves and phainopepla were abundant in the morning, bats at night. Periodic wind gusts in the evening as is common in desert sites - anchor your possessions and trash.

No problems with our truck camper, however we still scratched the camper along some trees and bushes getting to our campsite. 4x4 recommended. Good for tent or truck camper. Not suitable for RV's. Beautiful hikes around this time of the year.
