Excellent and quiet (for the most part) stay. Bear cannisters at each site and a decent amount of room between you and the next site. Side by sides on the other side of the lake were pretty loud. Signal was in and out on t mobile.

Wupperman is about as good as it gets for organized campgrounds: views, large sites, easy access to hiking/jeeping/climbing, and wildlife. On the cliffs of Lake San Cristobal, about 50% of the campsites offer world class views for $15/per night. The other 50% of the sites are situated within a beautiful pine forest. There are several sites that fit even the largest of rigs. The campground is first-come, first-serve and it does fill up on weekends but I have never come when I couldn't find a spot. I recommend taking the best spot you can find when you arrive and then keeping an eye out for the prime spots to open up.
Important note: black bears are very active in this area. There are two bears that frequent the campground that know how to open car doors that are unlocked. Lock your doors, I learned the hard way after one of the bears had a party in my truck.

We camped in spot 6 which is on the lake, there are some other sites further up that are up on a ridge/cliff looking over the lake. Good hiking and off roading in the area. Sites are pretty small and packed in, usually some ATV's in the area.
Barely 1 bar of Verizon service with a booster, basically no coverage.
