“Pretty NF Park, Amazing Camp Hosts”

This is a spacious wooded FCFS NF park with spots for all kinds of rigs (including a few for big RVs). All the sites here are dry camping with no hook-ups, but there are bathrooms (didn't use), spigots for filling water jugs (potable, but not for filling RVs directly), and dumpsters. The spots are gravel and vary tremendously in regards to levelness, ours was great, but other spots would have maxed out our blocks.
This park is hugely and primarily popular with tourists here to ride ATVs, mainly side-by-sides. During the day, both in the campground and obviously on the surrounding roads and trails, there is a fairly constant stream of side-by-sides and quads with the occasional jeep club or dirt bike thrown in. Non-campers come through the campground to use the bathrooms and get water adding some additional noise and traffic on the loop.
The camp host is incredibly nice and helpful, and she went out of her way to help us find a spot and get settled. Cell service is so-so in the town of Lake City, and from my understanding, largely effected by the volume of people vacationing there. Within the campground, we had poor and inconsistent service on Verzion, usually enough for texting. T-Mobile had no service.
Meanderings would stay here again
