Right on a lake. It’s a unique spot with all the windmills. Two bathrooms. Spots are kind of exposed to one another since not a lot of trees. They did try to put up little blinder things I guess,

“Beautiful views, full sun exposure, boat launch nearby, often very windy”

I arrived in late October and the campground was closed and gated. But I walked around and took pictures to post here. There is a large parking area for the boat launch adjacent to the campground with no prohibiting signage for overnight parking where I stayed one night. Winds were calm when I arrived but picked up in the evening and gusted strongly all night and right into the next day. Weather app showed wind warnings of gusts up to 100kph!
This area is known to be windy as evidenced by the wind turbines visible from the camping area and the campground name. Turbines were too far away to hear them and traffic noise was also minimal. The views over the water with the mountains in the background were just incredible. If you can handle the wind, this spot is an unusually good deal at $16.
Located halfway between Frank Slide and Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump and right across the street from Heritage Acres Farm Museum, its a good base to explore the area. Also excellent cell signal here.
