It is conveniently located, but that does mean there is some highway noise. Never bothers us. Would definitely stay again.

When we arrived we were the last available spot so it was a crowded fit but FHU worked great, water was tasty and no smell, and there is grass for walking our dogs.
Our unique experience was the entire front row, and perhaps other spots, were filled with nice TT of a Latinx work crew. They were celebrating with a huge cookout and cervezas! They set up huge work site flood lights in the driveway and ate and celebrated. The food smelled delicious! At moments it was annoyingly loud but we kept the air-conditioner on while watching a movie. About midnight it calmed down and it was quiet, not even road noise from I25!
The entire crew was up by 9am, hitching up trailers, and off to their next stop.
In summary this is a nice one night stop and it is clean.

The sites are really tight with the picnic tables literally next to the neighboring utilities, so if you're wanting any outdoor time, anticipate very little privacy. All hookups were more than adequate and the park is clean overall.

We were greeted by the friendly camp host and had full hook ups for the night as we were traveling through. The park is pretty tight, the sites are very close together, but for overnight that’s fine. There is some road noise if you aren’t having to use your AC. If you stay here go into downtown! Raton has a fantastic museum filled with all kinds of history of the area. We even got a guided tour and the curator is engaging and very knowledgeable. There is a brewery where you can try some local brews and a great pizza place next door that delivers to your brewery table. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Raton.
