Level, pull through sites. Spacious since most of the spaces are left vacant until about 6/7pm when folks pull in for an overnight before leaving 9/10am the next morning. If this park somehow filled up, it would be crammed like my college studies.
Red dirt which could get dusty if windy. Awesome cable package (I have come to appreciate cable more than I ever did before living in an RV). Good access to the rest of the small town.
Office opens at 2pm, but if you arrive earlier just pick a spot and set-up.
Several trains per day (and night) - hey this town was founded around that damned railroad - but not too obnoxious. Ear plugs work wonders.

All the RV parks in Van Horn are basically gravel parking lots. We opted for this one because of the Passport American rate. The park is bisected by a local road. We didn't use any of the facilities, so I can't speak on those. But we did make heavy use of the cable TV and the WiFi. Both were excellent. We had over 40 channels of cable, including HBO. With the park half full, the WiFi was plenty fast.
Be prepared for blowing dust if it is windy.
All in all, for $13.50 a night, we would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We were originally going to stay only 1 night, but it was so convenient and nice we stayed longer. Yes, there is a train which goes through town but you would hear it anywhere in town. Office, laundry, dog run and bathrooms very clean. Owner warned us about dust storms and we did get to experience one. Would definitely stay here again when going through the area.
This RV Park has SUPER Wifi! The BEST all winter! Also they have cable TV at the sites. You get a local channel listing when you check in!

We were looking for a place along highway 10 that we could stop and do a day trip to Carlsbad Cavern National Park and Guadalupe National Park. We looked on passport america and this had a decent price and was where we needed to be. When we got there I was a little skeptical. There was nothing nice about it. The guy who checked us in was very nice and asked us later how we were doing. We got situated and after awhile a lot of nice class A's pulled in. All doing the same thing we were or just stopping because it was so easy to get to on the 10. We felt safe and it was quiet. We needed to do laundry. My husband insisted we check the laundry room. I again said why, but I did and they were the nicest machines we have come across. They looked brand new and of course, everything went fine. $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry. It is a big park, they have more sites across the street and he let us choose where we wanted to park. I would definitely stay in this park again.

We came in late after a 500-mile day and the proprietor stayed late to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. There isn't much to the place, but it is clean and well-organized. The wi-fi is among the best we have encountered in 3000+ miles of travel.
