“Noisy But Handy Stopping Point”

I am a light sleeper even with earplugs so I knew this would be hard. But as it was getting so windy didn’t have much choice. It was safe and handy. Most people would probably sleep just fine.

This is a busy, busy rest area, with lots of trucks stopping overnight or for a few hours. It's on an incline, so you won't be level, even though it's paved. A train also goes by at night, and when trucks leave during the night they pass within a foot or two of your rig (be careful when opening your door!).. Served our purposes (an o... more
This is a busy, busy rest area, with lots of trucks stopping overnight or for a few hours. It's on an incline, so you won't be level, even though it's paved. A train also goes by at night, and when trucks leave during the night they pass within a foot or two of your rig (be careful when opening your door!)..
Served our purposes (an overnight on our way south), but don't expect to get a lot of sleep if you're not a heavy sleeper. If you gotta hear that train, generators, and loud road noise though, you might as well hear it for free.

Parallel along curb parking. Shared with 18 wheelers. Some picnic shelters, trash receptacles, restrooms conditions unknown, I’m in a travel trailer with a pickup. It’s about 2 miles east of Van Horn, TX.
