“Large private sites ”

Overall Rating

The campground sites are large, private, and some have river views. There are also gates with walking trail access to the river. No T.V. stations were available or potable water, trash, dump, electric or other facilities. There are two vaulted toilets and horse corrals at the campground. Each site has a metal fire ring with grill and picnick table. The area is very clean, quite and the stars were amazing. There are sand dunes and abundant ATV/ horse trails. The approximate 10 mile road to the campground is a rough, mostly one lane. It's dirt, mud and sand with some deep difficult areas. I took road 224 to the campground from the white tail campground road. It is three miles long and had several good boondocking areas that would avoid most of the deep sand and mud areas (and could have camped for free). I got stuck leaving the campground in the sand and suggest extreme care even if driving with a four wheel drive vehicle.
