Everything about our stay was top-notch, except for the horrible road noise from busy US-2. Of course, the park staff can do nothing about this, at least in the short run. (The county should consider building a sound barrier on the frontage road.) Our spot was at the front, so spaces further back, nearer the river, might not be as noisy. Still, this is a very attractive park with separate camping and day use areas. Lots of large mature trees provide good shade on back-in pads that are in excellent condition. Two dry camp spots and an overflow parking lot with a few RVs stored there. Vehicle access to camp area is controlled by a key-card operated gate.

Dogs are required to be on a leash, but there is an un-fenced off-leash area they are free to run as long as they are under voice command.
The biggest downside to this campground is the traffic noise. It is right off the highway, and the traffic does not let up. We stayed in Loop D, which is the closest to the highway, so the noise may be better in other loops.
They offer free wifi, which was a good enough signal for us to watch Netflix. Our Verizon service showed low bars but worked fine.

This one is a classic county park setting with large trees, green grass and views of the Wenatchee River. The photos of this park that you find online are very accurate and give a good visual description of what you will find here. Each loop is laid out perfectly to allow for easy backing into your assigned site and with the angle of each site, you feel you have some privacy and space from your neighbors. The utilities here are solid and located in close proximity to your panels. Wi-Fi is good but not great so if you have a backup system using cellular, you will find very good connections. We use Skyroam (Solis) for our back up and we had a solid 4G signal the entire time.
The biggest drawback that we experienced and I had seen from other campers is the road and railroad noise. We are located as far away from the highway as we can get but still have some road noise when the windows are open. The train runs just across the river and since we are on the river, we do hear the choo choo. If you sleep with ear plugs, that generally fixes that issue.
At $40/night for full hookups and the wonderful scenery, this park is highly recommended. Just 15 miles from the Bavarian village of Leavenworth makes this park perfect for a fun visit to the mountains.

Wenatchee is a beautiful county park with FHUs and spacious level sites aligned in a circular pattern that allows for a lot of privacy. The CG is full of mature trees and pretty scenery along a river view, and the staff here couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating. Our utilities were easy to reach and worked well, and there is plenty of room to walk a dog. The location is convenient to exploring both Wenatchee and nearby Leavenworth, and Verizon worked fine here without a booster. The only drawback for the park is the near constant daytime road noise- I don’t know what makes Hwy 2 so busy, and while it quieted at night, it is loud. There are also train tracks across the river, so between the two, daytime noise was notable. That said, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

Park is so clean, employees are friendly and large spaces. Only downside is constant highway noise, large truck jake brakes, railroad tracks and train blowing horn at 10:30 pm. Otherwise a perfect stop.

County and city parks can be some of the best accommodations. This place is no exception. Actually, it is exceptional! The young lady at the check-in desk is a great face for the park. Very friendly and full of local suggestions. You are given an security card for the gate to the RV side of the park. The sites are asphalt surrounded by grass. Nightly sprinklers go off in the dead of night and in our case, hit the trailer. Don't leave anything out you do not want to get wet. There is a dump station if you do not have a full hookup site.
Agave Azul Mexican is excellent and there is a 15% off the bill coupon in the brochure provided at check-in.
The campground is between Route 2 and an active train track. You will hear both of these most of the time. Never interfered with our sleep.
Leavenworth is about 30 minutes away. Cute Bavarian style town designed to separate you from your money! Lots of restaurants, bars/brew pubs, and stores. We did to into the Nutcracker Museum which was interesting.

Yes, you can hear the train and the highway. But it doesn’t bother us. Big trees and cool grass help keep you cool during the summer heat. The river has great access for sitting in it during the hottest part of the day. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Easy access to Cashmere, Leavenworth and Wenatchee. One of my top five places to visit!
