Love this campground, and the park as a whole! The campground sits just off the main entrance to the park. Set at the main mouth of Zion Canyon, you have amazing views from your site, and even better ones to be had via a shuttle bus ride that's included with your admission.
The CG itself rates higher in my book than most in the National Park system. Sites are well-spaced, adequate pad length, with some tree coverage, and electric hookups are provided in A and B loops. I wish more NPs had electric, it's nice to not have to deal with generator noise (including my own) in the background (not to mention the ability to run the air conditioner all day/night, needed in the summer heat here)
Frequent shuttle busses take you up and down the canyon, what a joy to not have to fight for parking. Other shuttles are available to take you into town, where there are a number of eateries and brewpubs to be had. If taking the town shuttle, be sure to have your park admission receipt or applicable Federal Land Pass with you, as you can otherwise be charged again for admission.
If coming from/departing to the east, the Mt Carmel tunnel has limited hours, height restrictions and a toll if you're pulling/driving a typically sized RV. My recommendation would be to route through Hurricane and avoid the tunnel with your rig if it is big enough to have the restrictions apply. However, the tunnel is well worth a drive-through with your tow vehicle/toad in the evening.
One other note of advice...STAY HYDRATED. The dry air here will evaporate your sweat so quickly that you may not realize you're drying up before you get in serious trouble, especially on any kind of hike. No need to have it frighten you away, just be mindful of it and be drinking alot of water.

We camped at the Watchman campground Loop C site 29 in early May with great views of the surrounding mountains. Our campsite was very spacious and close to the clean modern restrooms, water and trash containers were located near the restrooms. Large, level site with 30 A. Dump with water nearby. Within walking distance of shuttle stop and Springdale. Quiet and so dark at night.
But the view! It is so worth it to camp inside the park. Don't remember the bars, but we streamed tv on T Mobile with no problem.

The cream of the crop for Zion -- if you can get a reservation. In the warmer months, the electric hookup sites are a boon. There's nothing more refreshing after a day of hiking than to come back to an air conditioned rig. When we visited in April, the Virgin River flowed vigorously along the grounds, dampening the traffic noise of an otherwise bustling area of the park. Watchman has pretty much everything you need for your Zion home base -- restrooms, dump station, potable water spigots, and as mentioned earlier, electric hookups in some loops. A quick walk takes you right into the heart of the Zion village, where you can explore the visitor center, grab some food and beverages, or hop on a free shuttle to downtown Springdale or the canyon scenic drive.

We went to site 14A in a April. I have a 30' travel trailer which is probably about a big as you could fit. Site was level enough side to side that I didn't even have to do anything. T- mobile cell service was 3 bars 4g. Many hike start close to here. It was a great weekend.

We loved our campout at Watchman! Sites were big - like, spread a tarp and still have room to kickback big. Bonus points for 50amp hookup for our glamping dreams. Feeling the cool river wind and hearing its lullaby each night was unforgettable. And talk about convenience! Visitor center, shuttles, and epic trails - all a hop, skip, and jump away. Whether you're craving Canyon Overlook views or Narrows wades, Watchman puts you front and center for Zion magic. Just be prepared for some friendly squirrels - they're expert camp-snack sniffers! Highly recommend!

Stayed in the B loop. Spots are spacious with some vegetation between sites. Not private, but not on top of each other. Had great Verizon internet signal for working remotely, but we were there in December and there were only a handful of people there. Might be more of a signal fight if it were full.

We really loved it here! It was a nice change of pace for us to have restaurants, stores and bars right in walking distance of this NP campground! You can also connect right to the Parus trail from the campground, which is so handy when you have dogs.
We really liked Zion brewing next door! :)
