We arrived and parked over on the side with all the big rigs. We were a little worried about whether or not we were allowed to stay overnight. There were a few signs saying no parking by the front but nowhere else. Eventually we flagged down a security person and he told us that the spot on the side with all the trucks WAS for overnight parking. After that we were free to relax.
We also drove around to the Home Depot and there were no signs saying no overnight camping and a few trucks were over there too.

May 2023. Trains are noisy for a while but not an issue at all. Seriously easy to find and it's a good walmart too. Security roams all night so it feels secure. Park right out the furthest from the front or around the back.

At the Cracker Barrel next door we cound not slide and moved to Walmart. The place is very noisy. The trafic at the I-40 is not too bad, the passing trains and their continues horn sound kept me awake all night.
Though it was ok for two nights.

This Walmart is right on the freeway so it is noisy. There is semis but I parked across the parking lot so I didn’t hear them only the freeway.
Positive: security cameras: contracted security company along the city police patrolled the parking lot.

A very popular spot for both truckers and campers. Called to make sure it was OK to stay. Friendly staff said just park towards the back near the frontage road. Many trucks parked to one side of the lot, along with several other RVs. Moderate road noise from the highway, but otherwise a normal night.

A stones throw from the interstate and a very active railroad make this a tough place to get sleep.

lots of truckers flowing through. not the largest lot. easy in/out. I had planned to stay at the casino a few miles east, but they barricaded their lot during Covid-19. I tried the Loves but was crazy. Never been to such a small Loves fuel stop. So, back to Walmart I went. It'll do.

Got here around 2pm, by six it was a crowded lot. Lots of restaurants and a Starbucks 1.1 miles away. Usual truck noise all night. 22 degrees at 7:30 am glad we ran the heat. Campers also parked in the Home Depot next door.

“Stolen items during the night ”
noted 3/24/2024
We arrived here because of a snow storm during March 2024. Seemed fine. Other RVs next to us. It was late and we were tired and cold. Ice and snow on the roads and parking lot.
We had a couple bags in the back of our truck we forgot to put up.(Bad on our part)Small hand tools, nothing too expensive, but they were stolen during the few hours we parked here during a snow storm. Thieves are the worst. I would not recommend staying here. We wanted to try the dispersed camping down the road but it was snowing too much. It was quiet during the night and we left early.
