We arrived during a downpour, wasn’t excited to get out but the staff was welcoming, quick with relaying the information we needed and we were able to get settled in for the night on level gravel space.
Clean restrooms and great showers.easily accessible dump station.

This is a gigantic FHU park with comfortable facilities and lots of patriotic paraphernalia. There were more than 100 rigs in the campground when we were there in early October. It was great for a quick overnight on our way down I-40. They have an impressive collection of sundries and native art in their office/store, but the young woman staffing the desk couldn’t confirm the price on an item I wanted to buy, so she wouldn’t sell it! We felt safe despite parts of west Gallup looking rather desolate. There was a small restaurant on site serving BBQ and casual food from a walk-up window. The campsites were clean and level. A few had trees.

We enjoyed the interior features with large mature trees and shrubs (obviously taken care of), a pool, very large covered patio area with tables. In fact, they had a bbq that you could purchase a ticket for - very good.
PROs:
1) easy to get to from I40.
2) very nice staff.
3) Clean bathrooms.
4) Level sites but you are close to your neighbor.
CONs:
5) next to an airport so small aircraft flying low over the RV park on takeoffs, last one was at 11:30 pm.
6) train tracks across the street but we never noticed horn blowing or even trains going by.
7) didn't look like the 'dump' was operational but we didn't need it so not sure on this point.
8) No Verizon service and despite the AT&T tower in line of sight, service was poor. Probably congested.

John and his daughter were at the front desk when we arrived. Very pleasant people! I walked around their store & gift shop while my spouse paid for our stay. It had everything you could need or want. John took his golf cart and showed us to our site. Everything was marked pretty good, but it was still a nice gesture for him to drive in front of us to show us our spot. Once in, it took no time at all to set up. Site was pretty level and we were on Pete gravel. (We used our blocks.) the campground while not a resort was comfortable and had restrooms w/ showers, in two locations. They also had a laundry room near the restrooms/showers as well. We did not use them so I don’t know how much it cost to wash and dry your clothes. Sorry. There was a nice size pool, playground, large chess game and a huge picnic area set up for events. You can tell they are proud to be an American and of the military. Oh yeah, sites are close together but come on, RVer are some of the nicest people on earth! I’d say half were permanent residents and the other half RVers. We would stop here again whenever we were in the area and needing a place to stay. We drive a F250 and tow a 37ft fifth wheel.

Nothing special here, mostly full-timers. The park is pretty barren and uninteresting. Average facilities and a touristy store. But, after a long day on the road, we had a place to stay for the night. Management was friendly when we got in late.

We didn't use any of the facilities with the exception of our pull through fhu site. The sites are small and alternate, from front to back. Because they are very small, it's easy to look into your neighbor's bedroom from your living area.
On the plus side, it's clean and easy access.

This is my second stay here. Both times the staff were friendly and helpful. The sites are clean and level covered in pea gravel. Access off I-40 is easy. I didn't enter the bath house or restrooms, so I have no comments. All in all, it's a good place to rest.

Everything was perfect. Safe place to stay. The facilities are very clean. Really hot water in the shower. Nice location close to a cool and easy hike at Red Rock Canyon Park “Pyramid rock” (15 min), beautiful point of you.
