Wonderful, quiet and clean campground. Met by really nice c/g host who set us up a electric site. The spot was fairly level, and blacktop.
Bathrooms and showers were clean, 65 and older/veteran discounts given
Hope to go back!

Restrooms and shower very clean. Check In was easy and Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. Campground is picturesque. If we're passing' through and need a place for the night, we'll definitely stop again.

This state park is one of the prettiest places you can stay. It has greats RV spaces that are paved and easy to get in and out. There are well worn trails in the woods and to the lake that are wonderful for walking or taking the dog out for exercise. The park is in the country and offers peaceful nights but not too far from the town of Cameron should you need anything. There is power and sewer and you can tap into a nearby water bib to fill your onboard water tank.
We loved our stay at Wallace State Park and hope to one day visit again for an extended stay.

Be aware as other reviews have said you can get right in here and they are not full. We tried to get in on September 25 and they were packed. It is a long twisty road off of the interstate 35 to get there and tough if you were in a big rig to get turned around and get out. Just a warning.

We were in a back on site 70 electric only. Plenty of room between sites. Showers were quite a distance from campsite but were clean and plenty of hot water. Pit toilet at campsite was very clean. Camp host led us to our site. Would definitely stay here again.

Tons of green space between you and your neighbor. The shower house and bathrooms are clean and very nice. One word of caution - while walking the dogs we noticed site 48 has a steep grade at the entrance and it’s washed out where the pavement ends and the gravel site begins, making for a drop off of a couple inches.

As mentioned here, the access road is a bit dicey at times, but not too bad. Access is easy, right off of Interstate 35. Road noise was not an issue in this park. It was quiet and the loop we were in (#2) had a great setting. Too wet to partake, but it looked like there could be some good hiking here as well as lake activities.
We were just passing through the area, but were happy to have found this park. Would stay again for sure.
