Wagons West is nicely situated at the end of town. This RV Park is a part of a complex that includes a restaurant that serves breakfasts, a hotel, bar, and a snack store. It has a laundry that seems disorganized for $2 per load wash and $2 dry. The bathrooms include shower that are fairly clean but in need of maintenance (linoleum on the floors peeling up, lights loaded with dead bugs, vent fans loaded with lint) but functional. The site layout is confusing but doesn’t really matter unless the place were full. The power boxes are only 20 amp or 50 amp. They will rent you an adapter to go 30-50.
There were brochures on the tables advertising the Wagons West complex for sale. Perhaps that’s why the lack of good upkeep.
That all being said, the WiFi worked well and I had a strong AT&T cell signal. The post office is next door and the town starts just a block away and includes a few restaurants, a general store, some boutiques that also sell espresso. The town of Augusta is at the road that leads to the Benchmark trailheads and the Bob Marshal Wilderness. People were friendly and welcoming. Yes, I would stay here again.

We found wagons west accidentally on our way to Helena from North Dakota on Labor Day Sunday. Intention was to stay one night and we stayed 6. The layout of the CG is weird, there is some small trash lying around and it’s generally a little rough. That said it’s also perfect in a rustic kinda way. The showers and laundry facilities are working and the motel features a breakfast restaurant and a simple bar where locals and CDT through hikers mix and mingle. Everyone we encountered was nice and friendly. We met some locals throughout our stay and spent a lot of time with them. The buckhorn bar is a great western institution and the local wine bar run by Susie is awesome! Don’t miss Cataract Falls. We do remote work so internet was important. Cell tower is nearby providing great Verizon and ATT coverage and we got full speeds from our Starlink without ever being deprioritized. We would come back!

The Wagons West campground, motel, cabin(s), bar and restaurant are all under new management. I met one of the new owners and he was working his tail off renovating rooms, working the kitchen and helping with campsite issues. All the staff were pleasant and helpful.
The previous occupant of my site (#7) had knocked over the electrical pedestal. The owner came out right away and got it sorted out. The 15 amp outlet didn't work so they loaned me a 50amp-30amp dogbone which worked great. Water pressure was great, maybe a little high but I didn't check with my gauge. My trailer didn't complain.
The site didn't have a sewer port, so I used the campground's dump station ($10). The dump station didn't have a working water spigot, but for my situation I didn't need it. I could have ran a water hose to a nearby site if I needed water to dump. The site was relatively flat, requiring minimal leveling.
I don't know the exact number of hookup sites. I estimated it at 12. There is room for more RV's that don't need hookups, so if they are "full" ask about a non-hookup site.
The shower and laundry building was clean and tidy. WiFi is available but you need to be close to the restaurant/motel to get a signal.
The restaurant was very good. The locals that were there were known by name. That says a lot about the food and service.
There are a couple other restaurants within a short walk. We were pleased with one on the other side of the street. The (only) gas station had prices for fuel (gasoline and diesel) that were very close to what I saw in Great Falls.
