• Fine line between scalding hot and freezing in the shower, very difficult to get a decent temperature.
• Shower stalls are small.
• Laundry room has just as many out of order machines as working machines.
• WIFI is okay, but I prefer to use my Rogers Hot Spot then I can watch my home cable TV.
• This could be a great campground if properly managed.

We had a great time here! It was quiet and peaceful too

We had a great checkin experience. Apparently we were assigned the worse site (we had one of the back ins) right next to the mobile site and the guy moved us to the best site on the same loop because we were staying for 4 nights. That made a huge difference because we ended up having shade during a lot of heat and it was super quiet. We had dear and wild turkey coming by.
There is a mobile park behind the KOA and they use the KOA to go in and out. They keep to themselves but it is a strange setup.
Grounds are even but there is a lot of weeds. I also picked up trash from the grass.
If you need internet, don't bother staying there. We needed to work, the wifi at the park is not good and signal is poor. We had weboost and we could just about work and watch tv.

Might be a good park but it wasn't for us. The back loop is by a trailer park and we were beside barking dogs and a trashy mobile home. KOA should put up a fence or something. They could of put us in a better spot. There were other spots open on the same loop (same price point), but for whatever reason they stick us back in the corner.... more

We should of asked to move, but it was our first time staying in RV park. Lesson learned.

Some of the amenities use upkeep like new mini golf clubs and more of the bike rentals. The tether ball was also broken. No one was certified to fill propane at the propane fill station. Friendly staff. Lots of fun for the kids.

I generally keep my expectations for KOA campgrounds low and then when I find a nice one, I’m pleasantly surprised. The KOA in Vernal is nice. The spaces are not crammed in and there is a nice variety of site types. We were in a 50 Amp oversized shaded site and it was quite nice. Great trees and some green grass which we like. There are many other types to choose from, some with shade and some in the open for dish viewers. Like most KOAs, there is a lot to do for the kids and for some adults. The campground is fairly large which makes it feel less crowded I think. Some sites do not have cable TV so ask about that when you book. Wi-Fi seems fairly good but the park wasn’t super crowded when we were there so it might struggle if they were booked solid. All other utilities were adequate and the park is close to the downtown shopping district making it very convenient for food and shopping. The staff here was very nice and we enjoyed interacting with them.

We had reservations for dry camping in Dinosaur National Monument, but as we approached and the thermometer kept rising, up to 108, we were thankful to find an available full hookup site at this KOA. We rarely camp in RV parks, but this was a decent stop in that we took advantage of the laundry (quarters only), the pool, and the hookups which afforded us a comfortable night’s sleep with AC.
While our site was full hookups, it was located toward the back of the park with only a tiny bit of shade, some gravel, and a picnic table. It worked for what we needed (for one night), but we would not spend $64 again for that site. The premium sites are definitely nicer.
The staff is incredibly friendly, and the family-friendly amenities are fun.
