Stayed here for just a night. Super friendly staff. Right in town, easy to get in and out of.
Convenient to the National Dinosaur Monument - which was a great perk!

This park has its definite pros and cons and they are the same. Pros: 1) Incredible, full grown shade trees. 2) It's literally in the middle of town and everything you can imagine is within a few miles of here. 3) Park manager/owner, Blake is knowledgeable and very kind. 4) This park is sandwiched between a convenience store and a tire shop and on the highway. Cons: 1) The shade trees make a huge difference in the heat but can do some damage in a wind storm when the branches break off. 2) Being in the middle of town, the traffic can get bad and it brings with it all the noise. There are some drivers that pretend they are at the Indy 500 and their trucks and motorcycles sound like you are in the pit. 3) Blake is very kind but his father isn't as patient. 4) Being between the tire shop and convenience store means a lot of noise even after dark. The store has a sweeper that comes through between 10pm - midnight several nights a week.
The sites are very close together and it can get very loud on the weekends between the campers and the highway noise. We stayed here for the months of June and July, waiting for our new RV to be finished in Arizona because it has such great shade. This is not a destination campground but it has FHU that work well, shade and everything you might need is close by. The price is the monthly price which includes $100 deposit for electric. We stayed on site 23.
Pure Bliss Day Spa gives excellent massages and the Khao Hom Thai Kitchen food truck on the same street had really great food! (N Vernal Ave.). Shane's doughnuts (across the street from the campground) has really good french toast doughnuts. (Call ahead and order them for the next day because they sell out quickly!)

We arrived in the afternoon and Blake couldn’t have been more helpful in getting us to our site as well as providing information to the local sites. The grounds are extremely clean and the staff very helpful (both prior to our arrival, via phone, and while we were there). There definitely is permanent residents but that did not detract in any way. The RV Park backs up to a local middle school and there is a gate in the fence if you have well behaved dogs to play a little ball out in their grassy area. We were able to enjoy the scenic drive to the Flaming Gorge Dam that afternoon, it is highly recommended. We enjoyed dinner at the local Swain Brothers restaurant, the service and food was very good. The next morning we took the short 10 mile drive to the Dinosaur National Monument - we’ll worth the stop if you haven’t been there previously. We’d recommend to anyone staying at this RV Park, we will definitely use it again when back in this area. Thank you Blake for your hospitality!

We are staying in this facility for 2 months. It’s only April so we got off-season rates which work out to be less than $25 a day. Come June the tourists arrive so we either pay those rates or vacate. Due to the unprecedented winter with heavy snow, it has been very cold and there are no leaves on the trees yet. But the facility is great. Right in town so everything is close by. The street noise is minimal. Nothing that bothered us. The laundry, bathrooms and showers are very clean and maintained. The hosts are very helpful and friendly but live off site. However they are just a phone call away if you need something after hours. Wi-fi has a good signal but congested in the early evenings when everyone is”home” and can crawl to a standstill. Mornings and afternoons there doesn’t seem to be a problem. Our site is perfectly level (#38).

Great shade trees...pick your own spot. Owner very helpful, lots of good hiking and go see Dinosaur NM. Flaming gorge is also a must.
The only thing I found a little strange is why would you have showers that you have to pay for. 25 cents for a minute and half.
Not too noisy at night. Daytime more so. WIFI iffy.

This campground is in the center of town, close to grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations and parks but also a lot of traffic and the noise that goes with it. The back of the campground is the field to the High School. We were assigned site 22 which has a fence topped with barbed wire that separated us from the business next door. There are two things that set this campground apart from others; the super fast Strata internet and the full grown canopy of trees. We stayed a month and had no problems working and the trees made a huge difference keeping us cool in the high temperatures. The site was level but cramped (our picnic table sat under the windows of our neighbors). We shared a water spigot and the sewer connection was actually located underneath our TT. The campground stayed pretty full the entire month and it was difficult at times to leave/return because the dump station is on the side of the checkin building. Inside the checkin building is the laundry and restrooms/showers (all clean) and an artist studio. The campground owner was very welcoming and courteous. He showed us to the site, helped us back in and gave us the scoop of all the things to do in the area.
Plan a trip to the Dinosaur National Monument. (very cool dinosaur bones and petroglyphs) Also, take a day and drive the Flaming Gorge Scenic Byway including the Sheep Creek Geological Loop (Hwy 191) for gorgeous views! Brownings restaurant in Manila, UT serves a great hamburger!

The back in sites around the edge of the park appear to be for long term stays. There are full hookups and level gravel pad, with a picnic table for each space. The campground manager checked us in early and was friendly and told us about things to see in town. There’s a fantastic dinosaur fossil museum here. This campground is quiet in spite of being right in town. Very happy with this place!

The owner of this little RV park in town was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Most all sites had alot of shade and were level. The bathroom and showers were very clean with good water pressure. The showers are coin operated. It was a great spot to explore the area. Would definitely stay here again.

What's funny is that it's not a stellar place. The interior roads aren't smooth or that wide. No real landscaping. Back sites face storage units and a couple rundown RVs. Spaces aren't large. No views.
But it is one of our very favorite places to stay in the country. Part of that is because Vernal has so many wonderful things to do and see, but it's also because the guys who own this park make you feel like you're coming home, you're the most important people who have ever stayed there, that you will always be welcome, and space will always be made for you! Seriously, you want to come back even before you leave.
Call to make reservations. Tell them what you need. They might have to call you back, but they will do that by the end of the next day. Even with huge, beautiful shade trees, they know which sites will accommodate which satellite provider. We've seen everything from vans to 40'+ coaches fit here.
Pick up the brochures in the office with maps and information on the sights in the area. I wish every place had these, they are great!

Small town, but awesome feel! Really shaded park. Very sweet manager. Wifi in the slot we were was awesome, with good streaming. We have AT&T and T-Mobile and both worked okay, but not spectacular. Didn't use the showers or laundry, co can't say how they were. Some full timers who are here, but they were super friendly.
