"Little hidden gem"

Nice maintained area. Was surprised when we arrived as it felt more like a party campground than BLM land. Not many spots as people point out. But beautiful scenery hidden back between 2 small buttes with the river going beside you. Private land... Read more

"Good for a stop off "

Like others say, god for a quick stop off from i80. Will be at campsite within 2 minutes. Some road noise but honestly wasn’t bad considering how close to the Highway you are. Really only noticed when trucks would jake break, luckily not many did.... Read more

"Good for a quick stop over"

Less than 15 minutes off route 36, tucked right off a gravel road. Plenty of shade under the tree canopy. Multiple spots that go along the conservation area. Lies of insect noise at night :) but be prepared for horse flies during the day. The only... Read more

"Big and spacious with great views of the flats "

This was a great place to spend the night, we wished that we could spend more time here, but stop on our way east. Large area with multiple sites that you could pull off to set up dry camping. Follow the dirt road up into the rocks, or even more... Read more

"Water ways flooded"

Unfortunately NM got some heavy rains when we wanted to stay (enough that 40 was shut down too). So it’s not surprising that the water ways there were a muddy mess. I didn’t have a problem getting across but we need our other caravan car (Ford... Read more

"Hidden gem "

With many spots nicely hidden from the main road, you will have seclusion and beautiful views. Bear left at the fork in the road which will take you down to the river and into the valley!

"Wide open plain views with mountain"

Stayed there one night while visiting great Sand dunes national park and we would definitely stay again. It is right off the main road to the park about 20 minutes south. Multiple spread out spots with large views of the surrounding plains. You... Read more

"Has bathroom, that’s about it"

The site is free and has bathrooms, that’s about the only positives we can come up with. You are you town so surrounded by residential homes with barking dogs throughout the night. There is a train that runs near the park and will wake you up.... Read more
