"Pretty location, nice river"

All RV sites are reservable. Check online for availability before coming. Walk in tent sites are FCFS. No Verizon cell signal. Down in bottom of canyon, so cell service for other providers is unlikely.

"OK, but no useable Verizon signal"

Another review mentioned "no potable water". All RV sites have water spigots and we thought the water tasted fine. No signs signifying that the water was not potable. Dump station area has a spigot labeled potable water. We also filled our... Read more

"Nice mountain peak views from some areas"

A couple of boondocking spots have views of Mt Hood or Mt Adams & Mt Rainer. May be hard to level though. Our 2 phones and Jetpack only registered 1 bar of Verizon. Maybe we didn't go where the other reviewer got 3 bars. Good 1 lane all weather... Read more

"Quiet during the week, busy on weekend"

A nice park with 4 separate camping areas. #1 5 sites that back up to the river. $35 W&E 30amp. #2 The West loop which includes the river sites. All sites are under pretty dense tree cover. $30 W&E 30amp. #3 the East loop, which they call the... Read more

"Great except for the price."

We have been coming here for over 10 years. Except for the price of $20 for no facilities except for a small building with 2 flush toilets and 3 water spigots in the campground, the place is great if you can dry camp. No dump station either. ... Read more

"Camping fee now $20. Temps in the 70's where as the Portland area is in the upper 90's to 102. "

Camping fee is now $20, pretty pricey for no hookups. However if you can do w/o hookups for a few days or more it is a lot cheaper than the RV Parks in the area (which are probably full anyways). There has always been campsites available we we... Read more

"Staff is great. Very helpful, friendly and helpful. Park is very clean and neat."

Don't rate this park by the the photos on this website, most were taken in 2013. In the last 9 years have the grass & trees have grown and filled out a lot. Much prettier now. The staff, Shae and Carl are great. Both very helpful and... Read more

"Great for an overnight or few day stay. "

Nice level pull though with a concrete pad to park on. The price at $38, compared to many or most of the RV Parks along I-90, at $45-$50, was great. The FHU sites are pretty close together. There is a lower section with gravel roads, gravel... Read more

"Permanently Closed"

The Cliffs area is permanently closed to camping, day use only. I called The Dalles Ranger station and asked if they have plans to ever open this area again and they said no. They said there are several areas along the Columbia River that were... Read more

"Nice campground, but tight campsites and tight roads."

Several of the campsites will handle 36' rigs, but spacing is tight. We had to trim some branches to get our slidouts and patio awning out. Good tasting water in the CG, threadless spigots only. Water $2 and Dump, $10 including water, available... Read more
