Travers Campground has been a favorite of our family since the 60's. Southern Alberta is very hot and dry in the summer but is beautiful, situated on a lake. Traverse has a nice gravel road coming in off the 529 highway, which makes it suitable for for big rigs. Most sites have a firepit with a cooking grate, very few trees, and are suitable for groups. There is a boat launch and garbage enclosures. There are no amenities and costs about $20 per night.
