This is not a fancy RV park. It's basically a dirt parking lot with hookups. It's a little dusty, but you are in the desert! But they are level sites and easy to get into (all pull throughs). And the view is amazing. The sites are set up in twos, with the hookups in the middle. So everyone is opposite each other. While they are somewhat close together in the back, it feels like you have more space than in some campgrounds when you go out your front door. And did I mention the view? You can see all the way to Sierra Vista across the valley. And Tombstone up on the hill, It's a short drive to all the sites, including Tombstone, BIsbee and the Kartchner Caverns (which sadly we missed as they were completely booked the day we wanted to go). There is a little bit of road noise from the nearby highway, but nothing too bad, and very quite at night. You can even hear the coyotes calling at times.
While most people staying here had live-in horse trailers, we didn't, though it makes you wish you did. Nothing like waking up in the morning to the sight of neighbours saddling their horses.
But the real benefit of this campground is the owner, Cowboy Doug. He's a very sweet, country gentleman that will take you back in time to a more gentle era. He's very proud of the area and happy to give you recommendations. He even met us for an evening of music and dancing at the local watering hole in Tombstone (Big Nose Kate's). He's also a dancing instructor (as he's happy to tell you) and will provide directions on the dance floor. He also took several of the guests on trail rides while we were there. And though we didn't have horses, he made a point of inviting us to the ride's destination to join them for a drink. This campsite is more like staying at a friend's house. I would definitely stay here again (as long as Cowboy Doug will let us!).

We called on short notice after our original spot fell through. Cowboy Doug was very gracious and told us he didn't have a hook up for us but we were more than welcome to dry camp on the property. When we pulled in we were pleased to see all the horses and horse trailers. There are numerous stalls for horses, a corral, an arena and everything you'd expect to see on an Arizona desert horse property. We were able to get fresh water to fill our tank and running a generator during daylight hours was perfectly fine. Doug does ask that you don't run them after sundown so as not to disturb the other guests. No problem for us!
Doug and his employees are wonderful people. Everyone was very gracious and easy to deal with. It's only three miles from Tombstone and far enough away from the highway that we never heard a vehicle. Good AT&T coverage with four bars of LTE
