I have a small enough trailer I was able to fit in one of the sites open. The road from Savoy is nothing bit potholes. I enjoyed my night there. I unloaded my dual sport and rode all afternoon on forest roads. The downside is price. They do have a hand crank well but no trash. The host?? used one spot as their personal parking lot and felt the need to fire up the generator at 6:05am. Road and Gun CG down the road looked better to me but same price.

Absolutely gorgeous FCFS campground off the beaten path. Definitely worth the six mile trip up the gravel road! Lush forest, beautiful flowing water (Little Spearfish Creek), wildflowers everywhere - the only fly in the ointment is that the road is used by ATV/OHV vehicles, and a fair number of them circle through the campground out of curiosity. Do check out all the nearby hiking trails, and be aware that summer in the mountains probably means afternoon thunderstorms. Campsite well-managed - a young man named Blake showed up every day. No cell service.

Nothing fancy here but by far the best campsite I stayed at during my vacation that I used 8 different campgrounds. My site was clean spacious and fit my Rockwood 2109S camper perfect. There are 3 very nice hiking trails nearby, Its a few miles down a dirt road I wish I had stayed a couple of more days There is no water or electric but the site and location more then made up for it. We had no Verizon cell phone coverage but for us that was not a problem.

These sites are suited for tenting and vehicles under 25 ft. I think the sign said no thing over 25ft in the turn around. Dirt road after you pass the lodge well maintained. Sprint no coverage. We are to big for this site.
