This rating is based on a short stay, and we must say, The Bluffs is one of the best short stays campgrounds (CG) we’ve experienced. The CG was easy to find. We received a thorough orientation from the owner/manager, who then escorted us to pull through site 4 with FHUs. The sites in this CG are very nice with concrete pads and patios plus the sites have decent spacing between them. The utilities are smartly placed and the water pressure was good. They have 2 washers and 2 dryers both larger home models and very clean. You pay right there in the office/recreation room area, $2 to wash and $2 to dry per load. They are building a 55+ community here with small modular homes and sites for sale to build. The CG was very clean with the permanent or seasonal RV sites very well maintained. The property is not right on the water but both Lake Manistee and Superior are not far away. We had originally booked three nights here but due to RV repairs in Elkhart, IN, we were only able to do an overnighter. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bluffs. This is our rookie year of RVing and after repeated “No Vacancies” at state parks we came upon the full service of the Bluffs. We enjoyed our stay at the Bluffs. This is our rookie year of RVing and after repeated “No Vacancies” at state parks we came upon the full service of the Bluffs. This is a 55+ park resort and we got spoiled. We’ll be back. There’s a beautiful heated pool, hot tub, large clean showers and a fantastic new pickleball court. We soaked in the Quiet at our spacious site. Level parking and large concrete pad made set up a breeze. This is a newer park (4 yrs) and the trees are young but at the same time everything is new and obviously well planned. The attention to detail including a fantastic clubhouse make this a destination for those wanting to explore Michigan’s west coast and then enjoy a quiet evening. We toured daily from Sleeping Bear Dunes down to Historic White Pines Village at Ludington. Finally, I can’t say enough about the management. They were helpful, kind and friendly. The mgt has many community activities for guests throughout the week. Hoping there’s room for us the next time we’re close to Manistee.

Clubhouse has a kitchen, lounge, excellent rest rooms/showers, ping-pong, cornhole, ladderball, outside pool & hot tub. New pickleball courts just beyond pool area. No wifi yet (coming soon), but they did hook up cable internet with router inside our rig. Outstanding service all month!! Excellent Verizon and AT&T signals. Good power and water. Activities a couple nights a week. Mix of mobile home sites (not many there yet) and RV sites. People are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Dog owners keep great control of their pets. The best part - NO KIDS!!!! It's a 55+ community. The place is so quiet, it was quite refreshing. Very conveniently located to Manistee - turn left to get to the north side and turn right to get to the south side of town. Meijer 3 miles away. No close Walmart. When we return to this area we will DEFINITELY return here. Loved it!!!
