Tanglewood is about a mile off I-40 which is very convenient. It is pretty quiet but you can hear road noise from somewhere especially in the morning. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful from the check-in to the camp hosts. Lots of things at this park - cottages, manor house, tennis courts, ponds, hiking/biking/horse trails and a bunch of other stuff. There is canoe access to the Yadkin river. Many locals appear to take advantage of the amenities. It is a nice looking park where most sites have semi-shade and all are paved. The spacing is decent but there is no privacy. The downside is almost every site is extremely un-level, mostly dropping from front to back. Big rigs would never be able to level in these sites. The evenest sites are 18-23. We had the only pull-thru site which was plenty long enough but we had to be satisfied with almost level. We could not use the WII FI from our site. We did not try raising our Directv dish so don’t know if we had coverage but is doubtful due to trees. Verizon was strong at 4g 4 bars. We would stay here again but would be selective on the site. We camped here in a 45-foot motorhome.

The RV campground is well developed with about 40 paved sites. All but one are back-in and all have full hook-ups with cable. Wi-fi is decent and ATT service was good. The on-duty campground host escorted us to the assigned site and in my case helped direct backing into site 14. I appreciated the help.
Tanglewood RV Park is as well-run as many private campgrounds and at $33, a much better value. It is also a beautiful setting. But there is one unfortunate negative that others have mentioned and that is the grading of the sites. With few exceptions the sites slope away from the drive aisles. Site 14 sloped a little but not enough to warrant unhitching for an overnight. There are other sites near 14 that are relatively level. Particularly those across the drive on the site perimeter. Try to address this with the reservation staff if you can.
Earl and I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We were looking for an overnight in the area, and were in time to get a none reserved site on a Saturday. Most of the sites slope from the road to the back of the site. Most rigs had several blocks in back to level.

We really loved this little county park. The hosts were super nice, there were several miles of paved hiking/biking trails, we could walk to a great grocery store, and the surrounding towns were super cute. We were there for some Airstream repairs nearby, but wound up really enjoying our stay and would definitely come back.

Half of the sites are sloped quite a bit. There are three sets of back-in sites - both sides of three different roads. The sites on one side of each road are fairly level, while the other side are not. But it's not the same side for each road. Consult the site map to understand the layout. When you arrive you will drive past the "exit" side of each row of sites, loop around past the host sites, then enter your site row from the other side. The mostly level sites are 1-8, 10-23 and 38-44. You will need a short RV to be able to get level in the unlevel sites, and even then you'll need a lot of blocks.
The hookups are at the back of the site, so on some RVs you'll have a long distance to run your sewer & water hoses (if you want to keep your rear stabilizers on the pavement).
Otherwise, this is a wonderful park. All roads and sites are paved. There are wide paved trails that go throughout the entire park (not just the campground) that are great for walking, running or biking. You'll want to drive to the pool, which costs extra, but you get a discount for having a camping site.
When arriving, make sure you don't miss the camp entrance road (Campground Road), which is immediately after turning onto Tanglewood Park Road from highway 158. The signs are small and sometimes difficult to read. The Welcome Center is right there on the corner, which has a loop behind it to park your RV and then continue around to get back on Campground Road. It's difficult to realize this if you've never been there before.

No laundry onsite was unfortunate for us but there is a nice laundromat nearby. Tanglwwood is a large park with wonderful trails, tennis courts, golf course, house stables and more. Plan to spend a few days here. We played tennis one morning and we're lucky enough to catch a bmx race onsite at night (races are typically Saturday nights). Another pro is the yummy Thai place right across the street! Furthermore, the surrounding area has a few wineries that are worth a quick stop too.

Most sites are nestled under majestic Willow Oaks. You are in one little section of a serene 1,100 acre county park. They have an aquatic center featuring 3 pools and a water playground. Miles of hike and bike trails, horseback riding, BMX track, golf, gardens, an arboretum and much, much more. Your camping fee gives you entrance to the whole park and all it has to offer. One of the nicest "Glamping" experiences we have had so far. Tanglewood Park is in Clemmons just on the out skirts of all that the Winston-Salem area has to offer. This is a must if you are anywhere near North Carolina. Also a Farmers Market on Sundays!
