This time we were parked right next to the highway so the noise is really loud but what concerns me the most is that we were next to a huge area of fox tails, that was not good for my dogs to go anywhere near. There was trash everywhere and the price went up to $38 a night so taking this off my list. I will just stop in Holbrook or go on to Flagstaff oh and by the way, not easy to fine since the RV park doesn’t have a sign up front.

We arrived with no reservations. Was taken to our spot in between permanent campers. Very close together. Gravel lot close to highway with lots of of noise. Free Wi-Fi so could watch smart tv. Ok for a overnight but wouldn’t stay here again.

Good for one or two nights if you just passing through. If visiting Winslow and need a place to park for a night, it’s worth it. Just off I-40 and close to a gas station. Bathrooms need a little cleaning. You could hear the highway and train noise.

A quick last-minute overnight stop.
Easy on and off the highway. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Sites are tight and you do site next to the highway. We were too tired to notice the noise.

We stayed here October 23. Rate reflects Passport America discount. We had planned to stay at the Visitor Center in Winslow, but it was empty and looked a bit sketchy. It was one of those times we would have felt more comfortable if someone else were around. Then we went out to McHood to check that out and it was pretty busy with weekenders. So, we called Take it Easy RV park which is beside/under I-40. The manager was really nice and helpful, but it is a dirt parking lot with quite a few down and out looking long termers and no facilities other than the full hookup site. We could deal with all that but our little Airstream vibrated all night long from the noise of I-40. Neither of us really slept. Also, where we were parked we couldn't stay hitched. We had to detach the truck and move it an aisle away from the Airstream. That made us a bit uncomfortable and took away a bit of the advantage of staying close to I-40 and a quick escape. There were other pull through sites though not available to we last minute folks so someone more planful might have better luck with that.
It's also a bit confusing on how to enter the park. The road frontage appears to be a defunct gas station and another building with a Mexican restaurant. You need to drive by those to the entrance road. I said we wouldn't stay here again, but in a pinch, we probably would if other options were exhausted.

There is no place to sit outside and there is nothing to look at if you could.
Mostly people who live full time, and the entire place should ONLY be full time people.
The people across from us fought all afternoon, yelling and screaming.
They need to grade the lot and put in tons of gravel, the ruts were so bad from previous people getting stuck when it rained.
We had reserved on line, it is a Passbook America.
But it shouldn't be.
I'm sorry, it's not even worth the $20 a night.

We were very skeptical as we pulled into the lot. This place looked rough.
It is an older campground built in the 40s and has few amenities. However after talking to the owner we discovered that it was recently changed management. He is working hard to clean things up as quickly as he can and restore to a nice RV park.
After meeting the owners and chatting with them, we found they were from the same part of the country and they were nice folk. We would love to see them succeed. The campground is not perfect but it is improving daily. We were so compelled by the owners story that we agreed to stay for a couple of weeks and help.
We are now campground hosting so please stop and say hi. We aren’t the fanciest campground but we are one of the friendliest!
Watch for the new Name and relaunch coming soon!

If you are completely self-contained this overnight stop would be fine. It is adjacent to the 40 eastbound so easy on and off of the freeway. It is fairly noisy because it is next to the freeway. The campsite itself is not noisy. The woman in the gas station was very pleasant when she checked us in. She did say if the electric tripped we could go to the brown shed and flip the switch. There are no showers or laundry.
