Overall Rating

I actually stayed at Slate Creek CG about 6 miles away. I rode my bike here and wished I had stayed here. Several sites right on the river. Backdrop is the dam towering nearby and the river. Only accessible from the east side of dam up an adequate dirt road. Entrance road into CG is a little tougher but doable in anything. I saw a vault toilet.. Lots more than the 3 sites that campendium says are here, although they may not have tables and fire pits I saw about 6-7 RV's there and room for another 6 or 7. It was only half full on labor day weekend. It is free. TMobile seems to be only service here. You could Kayak or raft or SUP from here with takeouts at about 5 (Slate Creek),10,17 and 22 (Hwy 28) miles down stream. Current runs 2-3 knots. Lots of dirt roads to bike on. Nothing else out here. Lots of birds.
