Large, spread out sites and incredible views. There was hardly anyone else there when I went and it was very peaceful and quiet. Bathrooms were cleanish and the camp host was very hands off.

I stayed at site 54 and it was perfect! The views on this side of the campground are absolutely gorgeous and the site is fairly large as well. If there’s anything to complain about here, I would just say that the bathrooms are not very clean and that I didn’t see a camp host at all until my second night here.

This is dry camping and most everyone was tent camping. Also, an aside, we found the campers mostly unfriendly
Not sure if we’ll go back, but it is beautiful and fairly close to home

Nevertheless, we had a great site with an expansive view amid the pines. #10 rocks! Very quiet. Water available but no dump station. Nearly no T-Mobile cell coverage. Wrightwood town a few miles down the road for basic provisions or the country store/restaurant/bar/check-in desk at the top of the park entrance also has ice and sundries. A gem; will be back.

We reserved Friday and Saturday but arrived early Sat morning and were warmly greeted by the camp host at the entrance. We found our site easily but had to go against the one-way direction of the loop in order to back our 23 ft trailer into the site (no one complained that we went against the direction). Site 074 is paved and mostly level near the back but slopes towards the road. During set up, another camp host came by to welcome us and said to feel free to contact him if we needed anything. Most of the sites are in use but its incredibly quiet - all we hear is the wind in the trees (which makes me happy!). My wife and I did a nearby 5 mi hike and then spent the afternoon around the camp site. Cell coverage is decent (2 bars) for both Verizon and T-Mobile which was a pleasant surprise! Overall, we would definitely come here again.

The only complaint was the large group across the street from us - literally 30+ people until the camp host asked them to leave. Speaking of the camp host - he was very nice & did keep a clean camp. There are a lot of nice sites - I think a site style for everyone. Trees, views & meadows - lots to choose from. Good walking for me as I like to explore the campgrounds. We stayed here July, 2019 and would go back.

I paid for 2 nights to stay at the campground on 9/7/20 and had to be evacuated due to the fires in CA. I was told to evacuate 3 hours after I checked in and paid. The camp host Barney was extremely rude and refused to give me my money back that I paid just a few hours ago. He insisted that I call the camping administration American leisure to get money back while he had the envelope with my money in it. I did explain that I live over 2 hours away and I don't want to end up driving to an office to get my money back. I then called the office 3 days in a row and left voicemails that were not returned. Finally spoke to a lady and she agreed to mail a check to me. What a horrible way to treat people!!

We just got back last night, and thoroughly enjoyed another lovely trip to Table Mountain! The good: cool in the shade even in the middle of summer, many sites need no reservations for a last minute trip, some cell service for texts, good distance between sites in many loops, amazing sunsets are frequent, half price for seniors with an Access Pass, Wrightwood is 7 miles away for supplies, 2 camp hosts keep the place clean. The bad: it can get windy in the afternoons, the camp is on a hillside, so many sites have sloped parking, some access is narrow for larger RVs, no recycling bins- so pack that for home, this past weekend the entire place was totally full by Friday afternoon - so it can be noisy - come on a weekday if you like quiet. Stay safe in the time of Covid Camping.

We used to camp here a lot while living in the high desert full time. We camped here this week, mid week, after just opening for the season. It is a local favorite of ours.
This is a huge campground with 118 sites, set on a sloping hillside in a mostly pine forest at 7,000 feet. The mile long road up to the campground is paved and fairly steep. The campground roads and sites are paved, some of the loops are steepish and one way. Some sites are angled oppositely, so you are unable to back in unless you ignore the one way signs. The park is a little tired, but in pretty good shape. There are tables, firepits, some with bear boxes, pit toilets, trash, group sites, water is available, cell service will go from no service to 2 bars of Verizon LTE, friendly camphosts.
We have only camped here in our truck camper, and would not consider bringing our 38' 5th wheel here. Most sites are not level, some sites don't even have a level spot to pitch a tent. Local knowledge is helpful in finding a good site, there are many really good sites, so drive the loops to find that great site. Many perimeter sites will give you some awesome views of the local mountains and/or desert floor. Due to the terrain, there is a lot of privacy for most sites. Reservations for some sites are available, most are first come first served. Weekends will be busy due to it's proximity to metro areas, mid week is perfect (only 10 other campers there this week).
There is a hiking trail around the campground and lots more hiking and mountain biking trails close by. At the entrance of the campground is a challenging 27 hole disc golf course. Wrightwood is a cute town with groceries, gas and dining.
Hope you enjoy our local favorite campground!

This is a huge, family friendly campground close to Wrightwood in Angeles NF. There are a variety of sites all widely spaced apart with some having amazing views overlooking the mountains, to being nestled down among tall pines, or having a more exposed meadow-like setting. The sites are paved but can be extremely sloped, so be prepared with plenty of blocks for your stabilizers or tongue jack. Tent campers will have no problem finding a great spot as there are plenty of walk ups to choose from. There are many vault toilets and water spigots throughout. I’d suggest filling your tank at the threaded water spigots near sites 9 or 70 since the road is wide enough for others to get around you. Even though the main road is two-way, it does get more narrow the further in you go, so be cautious with bigger rigs. There is no dump station anywhere nearby, so plan your usage accordingly. AT&T cell reception bounced between one bar to no service. The camp host was very friendly and saw him drive by many times throughout the day. This place is so easy to get to if you live in the LA area and a great respite from the heat below. We will definitely be back!
