“Quiet campground with great views of Baker Lake and the Cascade Mountain Range”

We camped here in late August to relax and enjoy Baker Lake with great views of the Cascade Mountain Range. Our campsite was spacious and semi-private with shade trees, table, and fire ring (camp fires were not allowed during our visit). Water and trash were located nearby, as well as vault toilets that were not well maintained nor very clean. The lake was a short walk from the campsite with views of the mountain range. Overall, the campground could use some improvements, it is definitely a worn out campground with decaying vault toilets and badly damaged picnic tables. Nearby Panorama Point Campground was fully booked when I attempted to make reservations 5-months in advance, so I settled for Swift Creek Campground where there was plenty of availability.

“Very Quiet in June”

This used to be the Baker Lake Resort. I don't know how long it has been NFS, but the layout has changed and many of the original resort buildings are now gone. We stayed in the first-come, first-served area, just about as far from the boat ramp and dock as you could get. There are no hook-ups but there are some scattered water faucets. Pit toilets. Lots of shade would likely preclude solar. It was very quiet in mid-June but they say it gets much busier in July when fishing season opens on the lake. Beautiful, restful, and a good base to explore the area. Our site had lots of privacy. No views of Mt. Baker from the campground, but great views from the lake. Cell service was useless, even with an antenna and amplifier.
John & BJ would stay here again
