The campground is gravel, with grass sites, it is rather level. There are beautiful views on the water and Cedar Key is an amazing little find to go explore. There are no fire rings, which is a huge bummer. When you camp, you want a fire ring. There is ONE community fire ring. You can have pets. The sites are VERY tight and some are nearly impossible to get backed into. The sites offer 50amp, water, and sewer. There is a laundry facility on site. For the price we didn't find the value. We are glad we went to explore the Cedar Key area and the history, but wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed here on a Sunday night because it was near town. Smaller CG-62 sites total, spaced close to one another. All are full hookups, Friendly staff. There are laundry facilities and small clubhouse. We were disappointed there wasn’t any picnic tables, probably not enough room between rvs. Overall a quiet stay on the water.
enjoying the view would stay here again

Now called Camptel. This park is a gem. You can bring your own trailer or RV or you can rent one of the adorable and well appointed tiny homes. We kayaked right from our campsite into a beautiful bay. Downtown Cedar Key is just minutes away with restaurants, bars, fishing, and boating. Stay on the waterfront and watch amazing sunsets from your site or take advantage of the park’s dock. WiFi isn’t great but we were able to hotspot with our phone (a signal booster would be a good item to have). They also have a community fire pit and there’s a lot of community of that’s your thing but we enjoyed our privacy. We will be back!! 👍🏼👍🏼

Bathhouses are private and clean, coffee is served in the Clubhouse, and there is an on site restaurant that will be opening soon. The manager Steven is very friendly and showed us one of the container homes—it was amazing! Glamping at its finest for very reasonable rates. We were in our Roadtrek Zion for one night but will definitely be back.
Cedar Key is a great place for excellent seafood (we went to Steamers) cute shops and lots of water sports.

Love it here, however the new owners are putting tiny houses on all the waterfront sites 😢 Wish they’d leave us some Rv waterfront sites open.

The last time we were here, it was $19/nt. We stopped by last week and it is now $50-70. No more tents or primitive sites. The new owners asked all the regular campers to leave, no more monthlies, and they are trying to rent out Tiny Homes for $150/nt!! Not impressed.

PROS:
-Very close proximity to town
-Dog bags available
-Trash and recycling
-Beautiful sunsets
-Community events - this park did a really great job of building community and helping you get to know everyone.
-Really enjoyed getting to know our neighbors. They were very friendly and kind.
-We felt very safe staying at this park.
-Noticed the bathrooms were cleaned daily.
CONS:
-Very, very tight spaces. Our neighbors poop hose was right outside our front door.
-Sites are gravel, so muddy when it rains.
-Pesticide spraying without signs. We have a dog and a baby and asked them to label where they were spraying so my dog wouldn’t track poison into our home and so our baby wouldnt be playing in it. We were told to, “walk our dog somewhere else”. You can get a pack of 50 labels for like $5 and even reuse them. Apparently we were asking too much.
-Work campers would walk through our site and also speak very loudly right outside our windows while my baby was trying to sleep. They simply had no etiquette or manners.
-The laundry machines would break down every week.
-The bath houses were adequate. Many times they were shut down temporarily for maintenance.
-Very slow internet. Some days, unavailable.
-Occasional loud boats in bay. Construction going on next door.

There's laundry and 4 bath/shower rooms right in the center of this small park. There's also a quirky tiki bar just a few hundred feet down the street that you can walk to for your sunset beverages,
The only things I would caution are that during our stay, there was a storm that combined with tidal changes, brought the water uncomfortably close to our rig. From talking to folks there, it was apparently a pretty extreme case though, but worth noting. Also, we started in site #18, which is cannot recommend to anyone. It's considered a waterfront site and costs more than the interior sites, but has no actual waterviews whatsoever if anyone is in 17, which was the case for us. Thankfully, they were able to move us to 8, which had a fantastic view and is worth the premium!

“Bad”

We wanted to stay with our custom Campervan and they refused. Why? Because our Campervan was to small and they are not allowed in Florida. A Campground nearby was different - we could stay there.
