This was a good stop for an overnight stay alongI80, accessible from either direction. There were about 30 RVs that spent the night, in the two different areas available. The area intended for overnighters was nice, separate from semis and the actual rest room area, but we were unable to get our rig level, after several rather scary attempts. So we moved to what I believe was intended to be more of a parking area and set up. There were other RVs parked there, and as soon as we opened our slides, everyone else followed suit and did the same. It was much quieter than I expected, and we got a decent night sleep, which is really what matters when you park at a rest area, right?

There is another parking spot (large gravel lot) on the opposite side of I-80, up on the bluff overlooking the area. separate Campendium listing

Did not stay the night but we stopped and it was a great place. Rv, cars and trucks have their own area to stay the night. There is water to fill up tanks and garbage if you need to get rid of your garbage. About 5 mins from laramie and stores.

Got in late and left early. Fun to see the Lincoln statue and it was great having a quiet place to spend the night. Parked on a little bit of a hill. If we hadn't been getting in so late we would have tried to get off the beaten path more but for a parking lot this is good.

No camping signs but for a quick sleep it’s obvious that lots of people do it. I think the main thing is they don’t want folks pitching a tent and starting a fire. Kid loved seeing Lincoln! We were with a group of 3 long campers and we easily able to pull in together. In the morning there were 3 other campers that came in after and had parked next to us.

Taking a break on a drive is great here. There are water hookups if you have an RV and a lot of parking space. Show up during sunset and then go to bed!

Like most rest areas in Wyoming, while they are posted “No Camping” the answer from the hosts is that staying overnight is fine, just don’t pitch a tent and camp.
The Summit Information center has 4 parking areas. From the west there is a large tractor trailer parking area then three tiers of parking. Rigs can be parked on all three levels. Lower level is parallel parking, middle has some shorter diagonal pull thrus and the top section has parallel parking.
The top section is where I am parked in the photos. It is the quietest section, literally did not have anyone drive by in the 5 hours I was parked. I dropped the trailer to explore the Pole Mountain area for future sites. Came back and hooked up again.
There is some road noise from I-80 but not that bad.
The Information center has a nice informative museum with lots of content about the Lincoln Highway, why there is a huge sculpture of Lincoln and a commemorative stone about the first telephone line and another about this being the highest point on the Lincoln Highway.
