Sites are very large, were well spaced, and it felt like we were all alone. Almost no sights or sounds of other human activities. The pit toilet was very clean and well stocked. The fishing wasn’t good but that’s ok. We got 2 bars from AT&T 5G. There is 100% chance we will be back here again!

The reason for three stars instead of five stars is that there were two or three sites that had tents but no other signs of life. These sites were probably being saved for fisherman to return at some point.
I will return and camp here in the future.

A few cars coming and going to the dropoff area to put their canoes/kayaks in the river. It's about a 5 min walk to follow the trailhead to get down to water. Sites have picnic table, fire ring with grilling grates and a wooden structure to hang water bag/others items to. All sites nice and shady. If you have solar you will need to put it closer to the road for sun. Easy to get to. Overall would stay again.

This campground is very secluded. If you’re looking for a peaceful camp, this is a perfect campground for you. There are a couple trails around the site, although there are no water, and electricity outlet so be prepared to bring yours. Lake Michigan is 30mins away from here.

Sites here are spread out nicely and are tucked into the woods. About half of the sites were filled on a Tuesday. I came to work remotely for the day and got a good signal all day from AT&T hotspot.
Wish I had time to do some hiking or kayaking. Will definitely return again.

There is a bathroom facility on site that claims it's cleaned twice per week, but I would argue that intensely. Do not even try to use it.
There are many locations outside of campground where you can purchase firewood. It is close to a KOA campground also.
The site is also about 30 minutes from Ludington, where you can watch an amazing sunset on a great beach.
Coming in North from the M10 there is a closed road, so come in from the south. Also, bring some apple cider vinegar or other bug detergent. The deer flies and mosquitos here can get crazy!
The NCT (North Country Scenic Trail) passes right through this campground also, with other trails nearby also. Great spot to camp and hike!

This site is shared between the USFS (south side of gravel road) and the Mich DNR (north side). There are twelve sites; each with a fire ring and picnic table. All the sites (USFS only) have some privacy from the main gravel road, but you do notice your neighbors. On the DNR side in the middle, there is a pit toilet available for use. There are also some trails which you can hike to the river with. The boat launch is located at the far east of the site and cars and boats were coming and going until dark. Since this is a USFS site, there are no camping fees but first come, first served.
We first drove in mid-afternoon and found just under half of the 12 sites occupied. By sunset, it seemed as if most if not all the sites were filled. As said above, you do notice your neighbors but overall your site is yours. We did get to wave hello to a few neighbors in the morning. We did have a few neighbors which had bright lights and some music which spilled into our site, but by bedtime it was all quiet.
Overall, I would go back to the Sulak Campground. It's a nice site to visit the Manistee or Ludington. Camp on!

Camping areas are fairly large, flat dirt areas that include a fire pit and picnic table.
From Highway 10, the access is via a paved road (~2.5 mi) and then a gravel road (~.5 mi). There is a short (~.25 mi) trail from the parking area to the Pere Marquette river.
When I visited on a Sunday in July, only two other camp spots were occupied, and it was very quiet. It had rained very heavily two nights prior, so the road had a couple of potholes full of water, but they were shallow and it wasn't especially muddy.
