If you drive the roads slow, most vehicles and rigs can get in there. Loved that we were away from other people. Will definitely be back!

I would highly highly suggest scouting this site before ever taking your rig in here. I'm so glad we did because after driving through ever part of this area in our truck we decided there was absolutely no way in hell we were taking our 24' 5th wheel back into this area! Now granted yes I did see some other smaller 5th wheels way back in on the water, but I have no clue how they got them in there. They were the only other rigs we saw back in there besides some vans and slide in truck campers.
We live full time in our rig and I'm sure I could probably get it back into some of the sites, but it wasn't worth the risk or the absolute complete rearranging of everything inside of it.
So glad we stayed at the campground in Bullfrog for the night and scouted first. I would highly suggest doing the same unless you have a good off roading rig that can take some seriously rough roads.

Great location, plenty of spots for up to 5th wheel trailers, however some areas of Stanton can only be accessed by camper vans or trucks (4x4).
We easily accessed our site by staying near roads heading to the left (east), pulling a 30’ trailer.
You can hear the parties of people in the marina area though.

There's a split in the road that says 4x4 recommended if you go straight. Going to the left the road is much easier to navigate, but the spots aren't as good from what I was able to see.
Very busy over Labor Day weekend, but I made it there Thursday night and secured a great spot on the beach Friday morning.
Do not count on any phone service!!! Your phone may say you have service, and you may get a sporatic notification, but you can't call or text. Closest ATT service was about 10min outside Hanksville (over an hour from Stanton Creek). Just put it on airplane mode and enjoy your time. The world will be there when you get out.
Will definitely be coming back.

Drove a couple miles down a dirt road to find plenty of places to disperse camp. View was unbelievable; can camp as close to the lake as you’d like. 20 minutes from bullfrog marina

A previous reviewer of this "campground" (it's more like a dispersed area) was very negative about the access tracks. The reality is, when you get out here the tracks branch out widely... and some are better than others. Yes, there are tracks that were carved by a Jeep, and you'd be a fool to follow in a motorhome... but there are also some that are decent gravel, and fine for all but the largest rig. Just pay attention, and if you're unsure, scout a little ways ahead before committing your rig.
OK, moving beyond access. Stanton Creek is a sizable area above the shore of Lake Powell where you can basically pick your own ideal site. The views are great, the solitude (or lack of it) is largely up to you. I'd definitely come back here.
Caveats:
- The access track may deteriorate after rain. Watch the forecast, and plan accordingly.
- Because it's an open area, there's always the chance that a bunch of yahoos will come and set up right next to you. In December, we were the only ones there, but that's probably not always true. It's a risk you take with any dispersed camping area.
- At 2018 lake levels, there were no "waterfront" sites that we immediately saw. But this will depend on the water level when you visit.

The dirt road down was not great from near the marina but OK. On arrival at the site there is a vault toilet and pay station some distance from the lake and only place for a C class or bigger. Not a nice spot. Just past it there is a track to the right down to the lake but very steep and looked sandy (4x4) and straight on was a deep washdown an dthen straight up, that we would not risk bottoming out on and getting stuck.
We went and looked then at the marina camp site and not impressed for money. Ended up going back up the road to Starr Springs to BLM and stopping overnight on the track to it about 1 mile where there was a large pull off area ( 37.819918,-110.63485) before the official site.
