“Beware of Goat Head Stickers!”

We had booked/paid for 2 nights but left after the 1st night due to issues mentioned in this review. If you're coming here to spend all the time on the water, then the RV sites are pretty typical and toilets/showers are clean. BUT... if you like to hike with your dog as we do, then you may be as disappointed as we were. Our Lab is used to occasional stickers and will hold his paw up for us to remove the painful problem, but he just stopped a few steps into the sand with all 4 paws having multiple goat heads embedded in each. We tried keeping him on the main roads and he even picked stickers up frequently with our walk down to the lake.
I found confusing info about Bullfrog on their website so will try to describe in this review. The "campground" (aka tent sites in loops 5A/B/C) are pretty with trees and are what is typically pictured. The Bullfrog website says full hook-ups which ARE available, but only in RV area 4. We wanted hook-ups (it was getting hot so needed AC) so selected one of the RV sites which are quite barren. Perhaps the tent campsites don't have as many goat head stickers but we were expecting the advertised full hook-ups.
Even if you don't have dogs, you may find the stickers obnoxious. One of our RV neighbors said he stepped on one through his sandal, and my hubby stepped on a goat head in bare feet after one of our shoes brought it in the RV (I pulled many off my shoes after that).
No WiFi was disappointing given the very poor cell service.

Great breeze in the evening. Lake Powell is about 1 mile to the lake shore from our site. The beach area is big and open. The marina is near the beach. Nice trees and shrubs in the campground give it a great feel! Toilets are plentiful. There’s a dumping and filling station.
Side note, get gas closer to the marinaon git way in the first gas station in Ticaboo is a rip off. Even a gas station 1 mile closer to the lake is $1 cheaper/gallon.
ben_stewart would stay here again
