We stayed over night on our way to Missouri. Very quiet in the back by all the semi’s. The casino’s building and parking garage shield off most of the highway noise. Lots of pot holes in the gravel road but you can find a decent leveled spot to just sleep.

Great spot to stop. Security outside. Clean. Didn't have to park the camper with the semis. We were allowed to stay in the casino back lot. Perfect! Nice, clean casino with lots of food options. So nice to have clean bathrooms and a nice place to relax with free fountain sodas. For sure would return.
Great cell service.

We arrived before sunset and set up in an unused area of the large parking lot near another motorhome. Parking is paved and level so we extended out our slide outs. We used generator for air conditioning and cooked dinner, then walked the 1-mile circumference of the casino parking area and climbed the stairs in parking garage for exercise. Saw a great sunset and heard Red Wing Blackbirds singing in the nearby lot. Talked to security who ensured us it’s fine to boondock here. Parking lot lights are on all night and there is some driving noise, so plan accordingly. We had a fine 1-night stay. Bring ID to enter the casino.

If you miss the first road, go all the way down past the rest area and take the road between the gas station and the rest area, take a right, and then another right at the first road. This will take you all the way down to the back of the casino and into the truck/rv parking lot. Other than that, Southland was the perfect spot for an overnight stop. We parked in the VERY back of the lot so that we were away from truckers. We arrived around 7pm and it was still pretty vacant. We arrived home at midnight from the casino and there was still so much room around us and in the parking lot. I felt safe since the security guard drives around all night.

He directed us to a wide open section of the lot and explained how best to orient our rig so that folks monitoring security cameras inside could see both sides—for extra safety, he explained. It was pleasant to get a leg stretch walking around inside the casino, which is enormous, and to eat dinner at a restaurant without having to unhitch. All the staff we interacted with were friendly. What more can you ask for in a free stay?! There’s some road noise, but it was more like white noise.

I guess I'm not the stealthiest of car campers, but no one bothered me until the 7am shift who knocked on the window and told me to leave. I did spend $$ at the casino for fun, and told that to the security guard, but he didn't care. FYI--the truck lot where many RVs go said "for casino use only". Went to the Pilot down the road for a couple more hours of sleep.

Pulled in behind raceway in gravel lot. Security came and escorted us to the front of the trace track and near the road. Then another security guard came and told us to follow him to a quieter area.
We asked him to come back as we were dealing with a refrigerator issue.
No one returned till late when we had reoriented ourselves as far as possible from the freeway.
Later another guard came but said since day shift put us there we could stay.
The truck parking looked full and was behind the casino but might have been quieter.
They are building a car garage.

Unless you can fit in a regular parking spot They put you in the back with all the trucks. A rough gravel lot with potholes & mud puddles in the parking area. This is a staging area for the construction that’s going on not a place to welcome their guests. We were so disappointed we didn’t even go in to gamble
