If you need a free, safe, convenient overnight stay it works. It is just a parking lot. If there isn’t enough room, look across the street. Thank you to the owner for allowing this.

As stated, this was my second over night here with my 5th wheel. Really cant go wrong. It's a convenient, free overnight stay that was mid point along my current trek. I make a point to dine at the Silver Moon. One, because they have great food and service, and two, because it's really part of the implied protocol in return for a free boondock opportunity. Even before becoming an RVer, Santa Rosa had been a mid point stop over, me staying in a local hotel. And I enjoyed dining at Silver Moon.
Yes trucks use it too, yes there can be a little hwy noise. But actually it's fairly quiet in my opinion all considered. Good cell service, and surprisingly over the air TV channels available.

Lot is not perfectly smooth but plenty of space. Lots of room for many rigs. We ate at the silver moon cafe and were quite pleased. (Not required) Nice gift shop. Good food. Great service. Great stopping point.

When we rolled in here at 5pm it looked good. Only one other RV was here. But between 8pm and 11pm big trucks kept coming and going parking two feet along side us, with some running their engines all night.

Can't really go wrong here. As other's have stated, nice big parking area behind the Silver Moon Café. I've eaten at the Silver Moon before, but I was not an RVer. The Silver Moon was a great overnight stay. Great food too. I stayed in a Class B and parked right behind the building, leaving plenty of room for trucks and bigger rigs. In spite of the trucks, I found it pretty quiet and had decent cell coverage with AT&T. Would definitely stay again.

Pulled in after dark, a couple of trucks in the lot which is large. We parked along the back edge leaving plenty of room for trucks to maneuver. We called the restaurant and ordered takeout, was ready in 10 minutes, typical cafe food. Most of the trucks that were there pulled out, but were replaced by others at various times during the night. Engines were running because it was cold (10 F), but doesn't bother us. We had to start our generator at 4 am because batteries got low and could not run the furnace, again no problem. Never saw anyone or asked permission. There were also many trucks and some RVs across the street in a lot next to fuel station as well.

We stopped here on our way through New Mexico from Texas. At first we were a little skeptical because of the junkyard behind the cafe. So we ordered some tacos (which I highly recommend! The food was amazing!) and decided to feel it out before we committed to staying. All in all we decided it wasn’t too bad and stayed for the night. Eventually a few trucks and another RV joined us. It was pretty quiet, save for the traffic on the interstate, and the trucks idling which didn’t bother us at all, and made for a peaceful night of sleep!
