“Strict Staff”

They don’t play about check out time. Had a bad experience with a staffer. Knocked at 11:15 to remind me that checkout was at noon. Knocked at 12:15 (truck running camper hooked up, moving kids to car when I had to run to the bathroom) staffer asked if everything was alright and then proceeded to chastise/reprimand and generally argue ... more
They don’t play about check out time. Had a bad experience with a staffer. Knocked at 11:15 to remind me that checkout was at noon. Knocked at 12:15 (truck running camper hooked up, moving kids to car when I had to run to the bathroom) staffer asked if everything was alright and then proceeded to chastise/reprimand and generally argue with me for passing check out time. 15 minutes past checkout time? That doesn’t happen in hotels or any other campgrounds that I’ve been too and is not welcoming, relaxing or hospitable. I was flabbergasted to say the least, he was taking something out on me.
I’ve stayed before with no issues, I love this campground but won’t return because I don’t feel safe here knowing how innately angry this staffer was.

Lots of room, really deep sites. Great for big rigs of which there are many here now. Bathrooms with free showers. Laundry for a few. All is super clean. Very nice couple checked us in. Beach and playground. Boat launch. Limestone shore where you can look for fossils. Lots of birds around. LTE is spotty. Comes and goes. Our site is clo... more

Quiter after dinner. Definitely a nice place. We paid $13 with our senior pass.

Got in Labor Day when a cancellation came up. Very clean and nice. With a senior pass it was $16 for the night and that’s a great price
