When i arrived, the place looked really good, but on closer inspection, there was a lot of glass everywhere.
First of all, at the weekend a lot of OHV people using this spot as there parking spot.
Few of them don't care if there is someone camping on THERE parking spot. Few very rude people let you know that you not welcome at the weekend.
After I left this place somebody put big rockets at my old spot in order nobody can camp there again.
Worst: Tons of glass and nails. I got 4 slow flat tires within 4 weeks (after I left) and all flat tires are the reason of nails.
One group parked very very close to me even there a lot of space. First guy came a night before with an RV and next morning 6 o'clock the turned on his loud generator for the next 5 hours. I asked him if this is necessary and his answer was "that's my right. In the dessert there are no rules"....
Most groups were considerate and parked a little further away

Found a spot but is littered with inch thick heavy glass, broken bottles, shell casings and trash. Cleaned up to stay a few days while took care of business in Vegas. Weekends it sounds like the OK Corral as it’s a local area for target shooting. Only a few faced their targets tight against a large gravel wall, whilst the rest appeared to be shooting through targets into the backs of beyond. Had a Ranger patrol come by and stop outside my rig for a few minutes but didn’t make contact, pity he didn’t spend any time enforcing BLM rules of litter with the shooters.
It’s free, somewhat level and close to town - those are the only pluses. The areas is ruined by those who obviously don’t give a damn. Shame really.

There is a gravel pit nearby that is used as a shooting range. If you are scared of guns, or people with guns, you should pick a different location. They don’t bother me.

Quiet. Besides guns constantly. This whole area is a shooting range.
Internet is crazy fast. Verizon gets 80+/30+. Att works but around 15/4. Worked from home all week editing videos and web calling no issues.
There's a ton of spots before this area too on other roads.

We could hear gunfire most of the time we were there; into the evening on the weekend too. Although we did leave to run errands one day we did not feel comfortable doing so. The spot we stayed in (same as RVGeeks) was not visible from the main road. We picked up 3 black trash bags full of garbage and could have kept going. There is trash everywhere. The Cell Service was great for Verizon and AT&T; even a decent number of TV channels.... Sunday football for the hubster.

This is a beautiful location, absolutely quiet at night, surrounded by Joshua trees and mountain views and nowhere near a road with any nighttime traffic. We were fortunate enough to be here when there were almost no other RVs around, and enjoyed a nice stay with few complaints. We parked in virtually the exact spot listed in the GPS coordinates, and it was easy access, but not especially level. The entrance road is wide, with a solid gravel surface, but washboarded enough that we pretty much crawled the entire mile in from the paved road. No big deal. While we didn't explore much beyond the site we were in, there didn't appear to be all that much big rig access. We could have continued further in on this little offshoot road to what appears to be a larger area, but the road was steep enough that we wouldn't recommend it for larger rigs... and there were two cars down in that area when we arrived whose occupants were shooting target practice, so we thought we'd just stay closer to the main gravel road. It wasn't loud enough to bother us at all up here, and there was no other noise of any kind. And of course they left at night. It's a shame that people can be so thoughtless about the environment, as there was a lot of junk and garbage strewn all over the place. One thing that absolutely rocked is the cellular signal. We have both Verizon and AT&T. Without using our booster, we ran a Verizon speed test at a blazing 74 Mbps down and a perfectly acceptable 11 Mbps up. AT&T, which operates through our PepWave system, so a bit of an unfair advantage over an un-boosted cell phone, clocked in at an awesome 64 Mbps down and a screaming fast 46 Mbps up. Don't know how it is most of the time, but when we visited in late October, we had some pretty fierce winds the day we arrived. But the entire region was being affected by that, so probably just par for the course. If you have a smaller rig, there appeared to be plenty of places to camp. If in a larger rig, like us, we'd suggest arriving early enough that you can head to a pre-planned alternate if the few big-rig spots we saw are occupied.
Peter & John would stay here again

Some road rapids coming in. 24’ rig easily made it. Well off the road and no one here Memorial Day weekend! Garbage scattered around. Used for target practice... otherwise beautiful area.

Shooting is NOT prohibited, it's a valid shooting area!
Propane: Tractor Supply
Dumping and Freshwater are available in Pahrump, NV, 30 miles away
I used "Preferred RV Resort" and payed $15 for dumping, freshwater and waste disposal.
It seems they also provide propane, I went already to Tractor Supply. I forgot to ask but I saw a propane tank.
Very friendly staff.
