Overview of Sand Flats Tent Loop C Campground

Camping at Sand Flats costs $15 per night, per car for up to 5 people. Additional persons cost $2 each per night. A $5 vehicle trailer fee per night also applies.

Camping is in designated sites only, and visitors are required to abide by all posted rules. Sand Flats has over 140 individual campsites in nine campgrounds marked 'A' through ‘H’ and Juniper. Campsites cannot be reserved, but are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. In the spring and fall campgrounds are typically full Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and 75% to full other nights. Approximately 20% of the campsites turn over each morning. Your best chance of getting a campsite in the spring and fall is to arrive before noon.

Overall Rating

Slickrock Trail is iconic, and this is a great, cheap way to stay close and ride in. Cell service on Verizon is wobbly, despite the reviews. Campground A had one bar but almost no data; B was similar. We found C had enough to get work done.

Sites are clean, and the area is good overall. The sites generally are small. There are a lot of off road vehicles, but quiet at night.
